I'm guessing the reason you state you have such a ludicrously expensive monitor is because it's G-sync enabled. I'm not referring to myself here but I can understand that maybe, just maybe, not everyone else can afford that. So is your point here, to quote a Nirvana song, that we all need to realise you gotta 'pay to play' and we need to own a $1500 monitor to run things smoothly?

I think you guys need to re-read his post, carefully.  Ian was being Ironic and imagining what people will be saying after the formal release of SU10.

Maybe he should have put it in quotes, but he wouldn't come on here to boast about having a $1500 monitor.
Not that he couldn't afford one, being a rich b'stard as he is!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Performance of this build is all over the place, rural areas are much better, built up areas much worse, next flight (after Sim restart) and the built up areas are decent but the rural areas have lost performance 🤪

I am not experiencing any of this.

Ian was being sarcastic 🙂

That's actually one of the main issues making this game so hard to benchmark and evaluate performance correctly. It is so inconsistent...

I can have terrible performance at one specific case only to come play it again few hours later at the exact same scenario and have great performance.

I honestly don't know if many of the performance issues are server load related...

@Ianrivaldosmith My apologies. My sarcasm meter was switched to the off position this morning when I rolled out of bed on the wrong side. I hadn't picked up on it. 😂

imo its Server related - frames drop because your PC is waiting to receive the data it needs.

Yhh but whats weird is that performance can be bad even when standing still, meaning no new data is requested... i am really confused on how this sim works 🙂

You might not be RX any texture related data, but what about data in relation to online traffic and MP though

MP is off Traffic at 0.

There's the weather system too. Always data being streamed and crunched in some way 😉

DX12, High-End Present. FBW Neo Experimental Build, 28-30 FPS in the cockpit over scotland,, 55-60 FPS outside. Once I got to 10,000ft and below I lost 10 FPS outside, but kept the same interior FPS.

I was getting about 10-15 FPS more in the cockpit on the first SU10 build. I never got those weird graphical errors other Nvidia users got.
