September 21, 20223 yr From what I understand, unless you are doing a lot of visual editing with Adobe or other visual editing software, the Studio Driver is like bloatware for the average gamer who doesn’t do visual editing. Gonna wait for the Game Ready driver instead. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Just a different release cycle and they are within run-to-run variance of each other in terms of performance. Only implication is if you decide to stay on studio drivers exclusively, you'll fall behind in game updates and fixes. But right now, this studio driver, is the newest of the bunch. Will probably be a Game Ready driver soon to overtake it of course. In theory, if there are no bugs, you shouldn’t experience any instability. But of course, in practice, there are lots of bugs in software. I want to point out, that most people probably stick with the same version of the NVidia driver when they update their driver. That is, visual artists probably stick with the studio driver, while gamers probably stick with the game ready driver. So you have a large pool of only studio driver users, and you have a large pool of only game ready driver users. But the amount of people who switch between both types of drivers is probably much lower, so this means the testing of studio to game ready driver or game ready to studio driver has a much lower pool of testers. I assume NVidia does testing themselves, but their testing may not be full proof. I’d rather be with the much larger pool of testers (ie, the people that only install game ready drivers) than the much smaller pool of testers (the people who switch between studio and game ready drivers). I value stability so I can wait for the game ready drivers and just use DX 11 for the time being, I think the game ready driver will come out within a month or so, so it’s no big deal for me to wait, Edited September 21, 20223 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
September 21, 20223 yr I will also wait for the game ready driver. Don't want stuff I don't need on my PC which I keep as clean as possible. And I also don't want to get intro trouble by switching between different kind of drivers. I can wait.

It is strange how Nvidia chose to release a 'game' fix in a studio driver, but not the game ready driver! There is just no accounting for some decision making in the corporate world sometimes.
