Okay - If you say so...

I think Win11 takes some getting used to as the GUI has a fair bit of changes.

In terms of the new build - 22H2 - I've had this for a while having been part of (I've now opted out) the Windows Insider beta channel.

I think a potential fix to those getting very poor fps in certain games was posted somewhere, but I can't remember where. Think it was nVidia that suggested it?

No one, person who is a programmer, is 31.

There is nothing wrong with Windows 11.

Fine. My question was, how is it better than W10? Still waiting to hear.

As a wintel sys engineer for 20+ years, W11 is the VISTA of this generation. A mish mash of Windows 95 UI through to incomplete 'features' with a UX that several departments that do not talk to each other could only achieve. The cherry on top - nixing QOL for desktop users like moveable taskbar. Every 'update' brings broken things. It's an infurating pos.

I’m staying with W10 ‘till 12:01 am, October 15, 2025.😉

I had the 2H22 problem as described by the original poster.  It is fairly common.  I first rolled back the update and all was good again.  Investigation disclosed that the problem is with GE Force Experience - specifically the Overlay portion.  I downloaded the latest Studio driver (instead of the Game Ready) and found a beta of the GE Force Experience.  If you cannot find the beta GE Force, you should just be able to delete the old GE Force from your Programs folder in the Windows Control Panel until they put out a good one - probably next week I’m told.  GE Force is not required for running the drivers.  Once the driver and the beta GE Force was installed, I reinstalled 2H22 and all is good.

If you are using only the driver and do not use use GE Force Experience, is there still an issue with 2H22?

No.  The problem only affects you if you are using Geforce Experience.  If you only have the driver installed, you should not see this problem in Windows 2H22.
