Resizable Bar: more FPS (will always work Nvidia 3000 gpu)

Nvidia control panel (top menu), help/system info: Resizable bar: must say YES. If it does you already have it working already. Most will say no.

BIOS (change 3 settings, use Search window in BIOS)

1 Above 4G decoding: ENABLE

2 resizable bar: AUTO

3 boot csm: DISABLE (also called load csm or similar in some BIOS)

You must have bios type UEFI (most are) and might have to upgrade drivers for motherboard and/or GPU card if you don't get a YES in NCP (the top line of this message).

 

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, 1440p 32" screen, 32 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, CH Flightstick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR (the best VR)!

It said NO in my NVCP. But I thought drivers were fairly new, so I just did the 3 settings changes in BIOS and now Resizable Bar says YES. When it says YES, then you are good to go and it's working already regardless of any settings or drivers and so forth.

i have it set to YES , but no real idea what it does or if iam benefitting lol

ROG Crossair Hero X670e , 9900X, TUF 4090 , X4 NVME's. OS  2TB 980 Pro , MSFS  2TB WD Black , Kington Fury 64GB ram ( 6000) Corsair RM1000 PSU, Artic Freezer iii 360 AIO  . Phanteks P600s Case ,TCL QM8B 50" 120 Hz  TV,second 24 inch screen for charts you tube etc, and 11" touch screen for the EFB. Warthog Stick and TCA Captains throttle ( full pack)  Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals , extreme3D for the Tiller,Streamdeck XL x2 / Streamdeck +/Streamdeck mini because i like pressing buttons

Set in my BIOS and Nvidia info confirms enabled.  No difference in performance noted for me either.

I wonder whether ASOBO can tweak msfs to take advantage.

I think title should say "Only works for Nvidia 3000 and above" instead of "will always work Nvidia 3000". I was looking for that option in my Nvidia control panel and couldn't find it then I saw in the video it's just for Nvidia 3000+ GPU's and I have a 2060 Super.

The consensus for a while has been that resizable bar does not do much if anything for flight sim

I always find things like this funny. If it's such a drastic "improvement" wouldn't all this stuff be setup like described from the manufactures from the start.

I actually think it made things worse for me. Until Nvidia will officially support MSFS and optimize a driver for using this tech I would say no.
