I nearly got an Elgato Stream Deck too but that's around €200 even with a discount, so I'll save the money for now. Need to read more up on it in terms of how to set it up for MSFS etc.

I picked up a used (Like New) XL about 6 months ago. I did try the excellent plugins from Flightsim.to however I settled on using it for controlling views for each aircraft, starting the various addons I need for each session and some Windows functions. It is super easy & intuitive to use the accompanying software

Wanting to go from the HC Alpha to the XPC due to the updated sensors but that particular piece of hardware was not on sale. Ended up ordering one from Sporty's Pilot Shop because they serve our community and offer same day shipping. The big internet store named after a river had free shipping but the seller was a camera store and the delivery date was two weeks away. Sporty's got me my MSFS mouse pad in less then a week. I like that. Hope all shopping get what they need.

Since the in-game Marketplace seems to have its sale too now, I got myself a treat with Campout. Gotta relax a bit in nature after an exciting landing in the Bush 🙂

Let's be honest, most so-called Black Friday aren't all that much of a deal, mostly hype or vendors moving lower-end word not allowed.

Plus, ask yourself: do I really need all that plastic junk cluttering my desk, or must I fill up my ssd with addons I'll probably only use once or twice?

I have a google map page showing all the airports I have (flightsim.to, handcrafted, purchased). My rule is: I must fly to every one of these airports at least once before purchasing a new one. Only then will I buy a new airport (first checking out whether there's
a suitable version on flightsim.to).

Just for word not alloweds and giggles, I do put a lot of stuff into my shopping cart when these sales are on, but to be honest, I usually delete all of them, or simply forget about it, and then the sale ends.

Took a lot of discipline to achieve this, but my bank account thanks me.

Does anyone living in the States remember the shoe ad that ended with the tag line: if you paid full price, you paid too much. That's basically my motto.

I'd make an exception if someone were to, say, release a study level Airbus A350, or Half Life 3 is finally released --> Those would be "first second buys" for me, especially HL3.

I got the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Bravo Throttle $140 bucks off will go well with the A310.

I bought the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke from Curry's yesterday for £149, It's arrived this morning and it's already installed. I feel like I have a very good setup now, controller wise.

I completely agree with your post. And aside from that sales in general really aren't what they used to be. In the past stores often offered 10% off everything even if it was something relatively new in stock. Now it's mostly still over priced word not allowed they are trying to get rid of bar a few rare exceptions.

I bought the new Turtle Beach Flightstick and really like it.  Not discounted at the moment though as it is too new.

It's very good, has two hats, lots of spare buttons, a trim wheel, and will replace my Thrustmaster with the sloppy throttle!

I would buy Half Life : Alyx in a heartbeat if they released a non VR version. Never going to happen, but they lost a sale.

I don't agree. I waited specifically for sales to buy the add-on scenery I wanted. Saving 30 to 40% is substantial. And I'm happy to see even the big ones participated like flightbeam, flytampa and fsdt. I'm very happy with this year's black week. I was hoping for KLAS from flytampa. That was not on sale, unfortunately.

cheers,
