How many hours are u simming each day?

Featured Replies

It varies a lot, between my full time job and family there’s a lot to pack into most days.  Weekdays maybe an hour, maybe zero.  More on weekends…yesterday I had the house to myself all day so got about eight hours in.

Generally my flying time increases in the winter and drops drastically in the summer as I’ll spend my weekends outside golfing and hiking as much as possible.

In which universe do you live?

I've been in the hobby since FS95. Back in the 90 & 00 I was probably flying 3 - 4 hours a day, For the last few years I am not nearly as interested and I fly maybe 1 hour a month

An average of around 1 hour per day.... always in the evening.... some days not at all, but others for a few hours, so averaging around an hour a day.  As a school teacher, the holidays give me more time.  During end of terms, with 12 hour days, data, assessments, blah, blah, I might not get on for a couple of weeks.

But interestingly, while the world has gone a little mad (certainly hear in the UK with a catastrophic cost of living crisis), I find I value my FS time more - it's perfect escapism from the some of the dark realities going on, out in the real world, in these times.

According to Volanta, I've flown 431 hours since Jan which is 39 hours per month, roughly 1.3 hrs per day based on a 30 day month.  I'd say that's about right, I probably average a 1-2 hour flight per night.

Thomas Derbyshire

On average I’d say 3-5 flights a week, two of which normally at the weekend, 1-1.5 hours per flight. But it also depends on the season. In the summer it was close to zero. Over the coming holidays it will definitely be more.

MSFS has taken a back seat for me, following illness and a subsequent operation I’m now fully back into winter training - mostly on Zwift and in preparation for training camp in Mallorca late March.

im probably only averaging 1hr a week flying atm.

Zero.  😟  Most time spent reading this and other forums, downloading add-ons, updating current add-ons, etc.
