Over 2,000 flights, I have never seen that happen.

Huh, I know lots of people have been saying they have been having CTDs since the last update.  I have almost no add-ons, using mostly default settungs except buildings set to ultra.  Hae turned that down (though I doubt it was the culprit) and will try again.

Most stable sim I've had since Psion Flight Simulator in 1982.

If you want useless, cast your mind back to the CTD roulette wheel that was the London area in FSX!

No CTD's for a long time, ensure all your addons are compatible with the latest SU.

Every flight i take i'm amazed at the superb sim Asobo and MS has brought us.

Coincidentally i was trying another *new* sim the other day and all i got was some dreadful looking clouds/scenery and performance that made me think i was running some sort of PC from the dinosaur era.

Last time I had CTD, was 6 month ago because of the Honeycomb Bravo throttle plugin, removed it from the community folder and not a single CTD since

Only CTD i had around a month ago was due to a freeware addon, easily identified using Addon Linker to find the culprit, and binned.

Make sure you are not overclocking your system. If you are, then change everything back to default and try MSFS. 

I just upgraded my PC with new Motherboard, CPU and Ram.  Windows was working fine, but I would get a CTD within 5-10 min of running MSFS every time.  Turns out, that running XMP mode on my new memory was the culprit. 

1000's of addons.  Running Ultra  settings on my modest rig.  Not had a CTD for as long as I can remember. (7 or 8 months would be my estimate)    The sim's never been so stable.

Not particularly.

All my payware add-ons have been bought through just 3 stores with their own add-on managers. Each manager notifies of updates.
Additionally, I subscribe to each freeware add-on that I download from flightsim.to. So notified of updates that way, also.

Nothing new gets installed unless it has been recently updated. And I have never (to-date) had an add-on cause either a failure of the sim to load, nor a CTD after I'm in the cockpit.

Just have to check once after a SU to verify that an add-on is still compatible, otherwise it gets binned.

The level of anxiety whether it’ll CTD on final due to lack of memory was of epic proportions, no matter the length of the flight. Nail biter every time.

I had maybe 5 CTD’s since the release of alpha. 

All current platforms are fairly stable and most CTDs could be attributed to user error or some incompatible addon. My issues with msfs revolve around its flight dynamins/weather combo as well as its being sandboxed so that no 3rd party can correct what's natively wrong. This, however, is a different story altogether.

Here is truth about CTD! I just bought new PC with twice of memory comparing with my old rig. With tons of adds ons loaded in my newly reinstalled sim I’m yet to experience any CTD. I tested over dense areas of San Diego , Los Angeles, Toronto ! No problem whatsoever!
