PMDG - Randazzo Interview

Featured Replies

Way longer than I have time to watch, but for the juiciest part at 2 hours and 19 minutes where Robert discusses the 757 where he says "We have a 757 cockpit that's basically ready to go. We have a 767 cockpit ready to go."

Can't wait to see it. If any of you are retired and have time, feel free to link some other juicy tidbits you find! Looks like a great interview.

From what I understand from their forum. BBS has those cockpits and PMDG is moving on to something else. They are still 2 years away from a full 777 747 release.

It was for P3D but they stopped developing it with the announcement of MSFS in 2019. don't get hype yet.

Where do you get two years away for the triple seven? I watch the stream and heard no such thing. Do you have a time mark where they actually state two years for the 777?

Where did you see this information?

I watched it and I certainly don't remember anything like such a prediction.

Agree with everyone on this one - they've previously hinted that they will be moving into a beta / polishing phase for the 777 shortly after the EFB releases.Three to six months to release would be my bet. It look less than two years to do the 737 beginning to end.

Kind of my prediction just look how long it is taken them to push out the 73-900 from the release of the -800, a new EFB/tablet and people really think they are going to push a 777-200 LR/F/-300ER/-200-ER and a 747-4/-8 and maybe a 737 Max before late 2024?. Ok we will see even streamers like Fabio predicts this and he has some insights to PMDG. they are not coding for P3D at this moment where they have issues with debugging in MSFS something they did not in P3D or FSX.

When they release the 777 and 747 I think I may be busy for a long time. Not really thinking about what comes after that tbh.

I watched about 2 hours of it.  Interesting parts to me were the challenges they are having with the EFB and why it’s taking longer than expected.  Also the part about discussions with another party on a 787, but no real detail on this.  He also strongly hinted that if it weren’t for the unexpected announcement of MSFS, the 757 would likely be out for P3D by now, but they had to reprioritize everything to get their existing products into MSFS first.

Predictions. I like predictions. Especially since I came within a day of my 737 prediction being correct.

So here goes: 777 in mid July and 747 by next Thanksgiving. EFB by next January.

You may want to clarify that this is just your opinion, and isn't based on anything Robert stated in any of the recent interviews, because saying "2 years away" is completely contradictory to what he's said.

So you and I have a similar view.
