February 1, 20233 yr This is stock MSP with live wx after downloading the update. Nothings changed. Does one have to do something special to finally get rid of snow on runways?? It's been over a year now with this "feature". Edit: Cleaned the DX shader cache and that didn't work. PG is on but no rolling cache is set, hmm😔 Edited February 1, 20233 yr by irocx sp Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. February 1, 20233 yr Author KSTP is the same way. Hopefully, this is not the intended fix. Can any beta testers confirm that this issue was fixed (or was at least better than these depictions)? February 1, 20233 yr it depends on how deep the snow is. The colour of the taxiway/runway textures also effect it. Anyways this is how it looks for me. I am using the Zinertek Enhanced Airport textures addon however, that might effect it. Edited February 1, 20233 yr by Tuskin38

The Zinertek is definitely altering things for you, but I was hoping the "fix" from Asobo would eliminate the need for addon textures. Sigh........ Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. February 1, 20233 yr Yep noticed half clear airports last night (default no mods), it's a start but yet again another half baked attempt at doing a proper job, I would much prefer it if they delayed the "fix" and did it properly not like this. Just FYI this seems to be a common thing amongst Devs in the gaming industry these days, I see it a lot, half fix an issue then funny fully fix it for months later, laziness! February 1, 20233 yr Throughout the beta it seemed the snow clearing on runways and roads fix didn’t work for me. Hopefully more work still to come there. February 1, 20233 yr The more north u are in the world, the less the fix works. Thats a bug that still being since launch. It still is frozen fjords and over covered runways and roads in the northern hemisphere.
February 1, 20233 yr I loaded into KORD my first flight after the update and the taxiways and runways looked excellent, much better than I had ever seen. Mostly clear with small patches of snow, it was more realistic than before. I was shocked and at the time didn’t see the release notes that there was a fix.
February 1, 20233 yr That screenshot from Tuskin38 shows an awful lot of generic "repeated pattern" snow textures..... February 1, 20233 yr Jeez, do they ever get this right? I guess it will take another three attempts to get this topic back into an Q&A session to then observe the disbelief of the devs because they did AGAIN not check if their so called fix is actually working in the sim. So sick of this recurring bulls#, seriously... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

I have been to several northern airports with snow, including KDTW, KORD, KDEN and KMSP, and all had runways and taxiways clear of snow. These are all default airports. Add-on airports might be another matter. Edited February 1, 20233 yr by JRBarrett Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. February 1, 20233 yr I did PAFA to PASC yesterday, runways were OK but parking areas were covered in snow. G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
