Be sure to look for updates in content manager. 4.5 gigs associated with this update. Looks to be World Update(s) updates

-B

EDIT:  This update also fixed my broken (after SU12) Carenado PC12 which had lost all of its glass instruments. Now everything is back as before and I suspect the same will be true for other planes that are CTDing the sim.

They finally got to ESSA .. ...

Better late than never.  Looking forward to actually using that airport now.

Now if they can get that bees nest off the CN Tower (among other fixes) that would be great.

I got the notification, but have nothing in the Update Available tab oddly

Edit:
ah
I had to hit the open package button so all world updates and such display their individual packages

If "General Live Weather improvements" means that they use a higher res snow coverage dataset from meteoblue, I will be the most happy guy ever with SU12. But I guess not, otherwise they might have stated it more precise, no?

I’ll be curious to hear if this fixes the CTD with certain aircraft combos and the PMDG parking brake.  I didn’t read about the parking brake directly, but there was also a bunch of stuff I didn’t understand in the change notes 🙂

Most definately not. The snowcoverage is a dataset issue that can be solved serverside. There is no need for an update. They just need the better data and send it.

This is the change I’d be most interested in seeing explained as well.

Anyone have flickering text textures in the CJ4 cockpit? I didn't see a fix for it in this release, but I'm curious if anyone else was seeing that.

Definitely had it after first beta release and upvoted it on the official MSFS forum.....will test again tonight when home for work....plus hoping CTD's caused by several of my aircraft in the community folder has been fixed.

Not fixed. Even in the new version, The Beta version won't boot up past the New Activities screen for many users (including me). It had nothing to do with planes in Community, so it was caused by one or more planes in Official. My guess is the Carenado Waco, but haven't had the time to check that yet.

Can confirm the flickering has been fixed.

Mine hung there for a few minutes....  I did wait it out and the new beta took about 7 minutes total to load up.  Hope it's not that bad on subsequent loads.

Well I just confirmed it is the Carenado Waco and/ or the Carenado Business LIner (195 cessna) that was causing MSFS with beta 12 not to boot. I opted back out of beta, booted MSFS and deleted the Waco and the C195 in content manager. And opted back into the beta and bingo it now boots up just fine using the beta.

Back in Sim update 11 a few months ago it was exactly the same for me: that pesky Carenado Business liner 195 prevented bootup. But messages from others kept mentioning the Waco so I took both of them out.

So, on my system it's one of those two or maybe both that is the culprit.

(Hint: you can also remove the Waco and C195 by just moving their folders out of Official and then move them back later if you wish. You don't really need to use the Content Manager to do that).

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

So I reinstalled the Waco YMF5 Carenado: msfs booted up.

Then I reinstalled C195 Carenado: would not boot. Had to move that C195 folder out of official and then msfs booted right up.

On my system the Carenado C195 prevents MSFS loading with update BETA 11 or update BETA 12. The full update SU11 (not the BETA) did not have this issue. The best way to avoid all problems may be to stay out the BETAs.
