I completely agree. The big difference here is about PMDG not keeping the promises of fixing and completing any product starting with FSX. Whenever they introduced a new product, they promised to address any unresolved issues from the previous one in a timely manner. Did not happen! The most recent update involved the use of the 737 for MSFS. They mentioned that once the 737 is released, they will update the airplanes in P3D. It's disappointing that they didn't follow through on their promises and instead retaliated against a paying customer for simply asking about progress. To make matters worse, the new product they sold is in even worse condition than the previous platform. The question is why someone would do business with a company that has such poor practices and treats their customers who are putting money in their bank account poorly. It's important to prioritize fixing the bugs in the DC6 and 737 for MSFS before releasing other products like P3D V6, EFB, 777, and 747. Let's focus on fixing what needs to be fixed first. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
July 3, 20232 yr Kinda liberating in a way. No more anticipation anxiety. I might even consider reinstalling some older platforms such as P3DV4 or even FSX to fool around with. As far as PMDG I’ll be hanged from the highest tree before spending another cent to follow them after MSFS. So long and thanks for the fish. Vic green

I said just about those same words to my wife about 30 min ago except I added a few words that we want try here on the end.🤣 The final straw for me was when I read the other day that A2A after some 33 months of work still can't get their flagship aircraft to work in the xbox flight sim. Now they may be good at design but one has to question their business decisions. If it ever works then they will be to old to enjoy the money they make. July 3, 20232 yr So, both iFly and PMDG have confirmed simple drag & drop won't work for v6, especially so for PMDG as their products was quite drag n drop friendly cross minor updates and from v4 to v5. Not a good looking for v6 in personal high-end airliner market then... 32 minutes ago, LRBS said: It's important to prioritize fixing the bugs in the DC6 and 737 for MSFS before releasing other products like P3D V6, EFB, 777, and 747. July 3, 20232 yr Tide has changed and LM is stuck in the mud - everything they do is too little and way too late... Stable 5.4 is sim of my choice, and will be for a loooong time i suppose 🙂 Artur
July 3, 20232 yr Forget MSFS and P3DV6! This is the P3D forum and it's pretty clear that P3DV6 isn't just a copy and paste affair. What about the promised updates for P3DV5? It seems that time has made people forget that people purchased these products believing that these updates would be delivered. A while back I went to trace the old forum posts so that I wasn't forgetting things. Edit: Adding a bit more. If we are being realistic we probably will never see any updates from PMDG on P3D again. However instead of burying things and pretending nothing happened, I think it would be nice if they say, hey guys we fudged, we still love you guys. Everybody who purchased the 737 after the NGXu rebate, the 747, or 777 after the 777-200ER release please see <something> as a token of our appreciation for your support. July 3, 20232 yr Well, that statement has saved me 55€. Without FSL, PMDG and iFly, what will people be using in V6? July 3, 20232 yr I would have loved the 777 cockpit upgrade they promised, guess that will never happen now. Then again it was more than likely was never going to happen. What to spend my credit on, maybe the DC-6 and the BBJ or 600/770 for P3dv5?

July 3, 20232 yr LOL, I know, those are the only ones I do not have. Seems a waste to not use the credit on something.
July 3, 20232 yr It's easy, Just quit supporting PMDG. Like other's have said, PMDG have never fixed previous issues, and the 737 in MSFS doesn't even function correctly. I am referring to vnav. Nobody should be buying from them, Until they fix what they promised. The money has run to there head. I remember way back, PMDG was my first goto aircraft, Now you don't know if it's even going to be completely functional.
July 3, 20232 yr Well it is becoming clear that hopes for further significant advances in the enthusiast flight sim space lie with MS2024 at least in the medium term, as unpalatable as this will be for many contributors to this forum. Without PMDG and probably the other heavy hitters P3Dv6 is indeed DOA and a possible P3Dv7 (or whatever it might be called) could be four years away if it ever happens and goodness knows what that will mean for the genre. I guess for those that get all they would ever want from flight sim in P3Dv5.3/5.4 (or maybe Xplane) none of this will matter but for the rest of us MS2024 is our best hope for now. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

If the payware scenery needs updating like the payware planes do I don't have very high hopes that the developers will be updating the scenery (or making new scenery) for v6 either. What happened to the backwards compatibility like LM said there will be with v6?
