Absolutely unprecedented times... let's not also forget ...

lets also not forget RGB enabled DDR5 with anti collision lights 😊

more seriously:

... Nvidia FrameGeneration, 8K resolution VR headsets, AMD 78xx-3D cache CPUs. .... allowing us to dispute for the first time in FS history if 60, 90 or even 120 fps ought to be enough. when MSFS was released in 2020, most users were struggling to achieve constant 20-25 fps.

Edited by turbomax

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Not doing the airliners, I wonder whether there is a life after the Comanche 😄 ?

The only one I am looking for at that time is the Milviz SR 71. Curious of what they could do to respect as faithfully as possible the real bird. The lead designer is, I think, the one who did the C310 so it might be quite good !

Life after Comanche? Civ Mustang, of course! No idea of their plans, but a man can dream...

MilViz/BBS is definitely working on some good stuff that's "close": UH-1 Huey, and many months ago they showed the T-38C flying in-sim. SR will be fantastic, too - though it's a bit of a horse race with vSkyLabs in X-Plane.

FS Reborn's Piper turboprop M500 looks to be very close to complete

Tornado or Tomcat from India Foxt Echo are in/near Beta, so will possibly bow this year.

and maaaaybe Just Flight's Vulcan.

I'm sure there's more i'm forgetting....

For the helicopter crowd, because flightsim is more than modern jetliners:

Taog is working on a Bell 210 likely coming very soon (likely coming months). https://www.helisimmer.com/news/taog-hangar-working-bell-210-msfs

This developer is also working on an MH65 and a Llama.

MilTech is working on a CH-47 Chinook (Q3 2023) https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/product-announcement-chinook-ch-47-by-miltech-simulations/597896

For the vintage crowd:

Got-Friends just announced their F4F-4 Wildcat, unknown release date. Lots of whining on another forum that it's not <WW2 aircraft of choice> but whatever.

Indeed ! The Huey seems something we might actually see flying out of the vaporware before the year ends.

But we will receive many word salad updates to make up for it.

do you happen to know if there are any good business jets out that are not old and not new?  I'm looking for less of a "digital cockpit" than we see in the CJ4.  But not a super old airplane either.  Something in line with the Lear 60 era?

A2A's v35 Bonanza? and their Lockheed Constellation?? and perhaps their B17???

Maybe lighten up a bit.

I started to read this thread wondering how long it would be before someone had to haul their negative outlook into it.. Took about 6  posts.....

Some people simply wake up in the morning with a negative attitude...

A negative attitude is not always a bad thing. Remember...

The optimist created the airplane.
The pessimist invented the parachute.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Heh.  I laughed-out-loud on that one.

Really, there are so many good things in the pipeline that...I am wondering how I'll have time to fly all of them.  Or some of them.

Annnndd at some point MSFS2024 is going to release.  That may be the really big cherry on top.

Look for the FSW learjet 35 coming very soon.  Analog cockpit with GNS and gtn support.
