SU 13 & DX12?

Featured Replies

I use DLSS Quality, both LOD at 200, preset at ULTRA, and FG.

RTX 4070.

I don't use TAA because a stable non stutter image in dense scenery mean a lot more to me than the slight  image clarity loss. So it all depends on what parameters are most important to you. I you're in an airliner up high, image quality in the scenery means little because there is little to see up there. So I can see why those type of pilots prefer TAA. It clears the gauge fonts and fps is already sky high in the clouds.

I mostly fly in VR (Reverb G2) and in 2D side by side double monitors (5185 x 1440p). 2560 x 2 = 5120 + 65 bezel correction overlap is 5185.

Mostly VFR and not real high. So I can see the scenery better.

Only RTX 4000 does FG which doubles framerates everywhere in 2D (doesn't work in VR). But Motion Reprojection is for VR, and is vaguely similar, sort of.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

For me, DX12 performs better than DX11 but looks worse just like DLSS performs better but looks worse than TAA.

If I ran MSFS without all my aircraft, scenery and airport addons, I would  use DX11 and TAA but with the addons I need the extra performance that DX12 and TAA give me.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

I think it highly depends on the resolution you are using. With my settings at 4k 60 Hz monitor with open frames DX12 with dlss 3.5 and fg on is much smoother and stutter free. The instruments are crystal clear exept the slight blurriness of the speedtapes, but for me that is not a big deal. The most immersion killer when using taa is the huge flickering of small objects like light masts and that‘s a no go for me.

I have noticed the same issues as before. Popping scenery tiles on the airport tarmacs.

Unbelievable that this is still NOT fixed

For me DX11 looks better and consume way less VRAM, I can use FG but have no need for it as I get 60-70 fps Ultra with DX11.

You can have Frame Generation with any GPU so long as you use a TV with a Frame Interpolation setting. If you have this feature on your TV it will interpolate a frame between every frame it receives from the GPU. So if you send 30fps to the TV at 29hz the TV will display 58fps on screen. You have to see it to believe it!😁

No offence but it’s not exactly the same, FG is way better.

dlss 3.5

Where did you get this?

DX11 does place nicer with heavy 3rd party scenery. Plus with DX12 you have to turn bloom off to avoid the flashing screen bug.

can my 3080 support FG?

No. Only 40xx cards do.

The strange thing is this flashing doesn't occur in all systems, I have it on my desktop but not on my laptop.
