Frame generation for all RTX cards

Featured Replies

All of you who have the Steam version can add their FPS counter, it is small and does not interfere and that it shows the correct fps according to FG.

  • Really? It's night and day difference. I'm testing the mod right now, on my "old" 3090, and I get a steady 60 fps, with PMDG 737-800, parked at FSDT KORD, at 5120x1440 32:9, I barely hit 40 befor

  • I'm testing this right now and my mind is blown.  I now understand why all the hype about FG.  3080ti, 4K, mostly high/ultra settings and have been pegged at 60FPS on first test flight in the Fenix.

  • I was one of the people who basically ordered an RTX 4000 series card only because of Frame Generation. And FG is really impressive.  Now I'm glad everyone gets to participate in that experience.

A number of users this morning saying they cannot see the option or its not working.

It is absolutely essential that you run the registry batch file to prevent Windows or nVidia using a lookup chart to check your hardware is compatible with Frame Generation. If you don't it will not show. You also need to run it again if you change or reinstall a nVidia driver

With 516.94 installed and the reg key merged into the registry i could not make it work.

Do you have HAGS on?

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Sure.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base & hegykc MFG Crosswind modded pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S for VR

It worked with 546.33 (only driver i tried besides the 516.94).
Then i returned to 516.94, re-applied the reg key but still no go with that driver.

Bloom looks nice if you don't have HDR on, but I found that with HDR there is no need to use bloom at all.

It's working almost perfect with the last 0.80 mod version, flying in the clouds at 59fps is like a dream with the Fenix A320 and the FBW A320, the menu flickering is not that an issue compared to these brilliant performance.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I load up the Fenix and I get constant CTDs with 0.80 😞

I'm still using this hack without any major issues other than the known artifacts and distortion of the menus.  However, I've just gone to clean my Nvidia DX cache and found it empty (It's set to100 GB in the Nvidia control panel).  If you can check your caches and confirm the same it would be interesting.

Is a cache being produced elsewhere or is the mod not caching anything at all?

One of the recent Nvidia drivers moved the shader cache to a new location. See this thread:

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Finally found the sweet spot. I was over taxing my GTX 2080 super vram, Thus stutters big time.  Decided to give it another go and turn a couple things down a bit and Bingo! Went from seeing 27-34 fps to an average 66-70 fps.

Vram staying about 96% at busy airports. Visuals still look great and smooth.

Merry Holidays...

Apart from the UI framerate problems, this mod is really excellent. Much smoother with frame generation, especially during approachs and landings.

I advise you to cut off pleasure boat and road traffic which cause framerate drops with the last FS update

And that's the sort of results that 40-series card owners have been talking about all this time, against the perception of many that "fake frames" were worthless......
