And that's the sort of results that 40-series card owners have been talking about all this time, against the perception of many that "fake frames" were worthless......

Apart from the degraded burry graphics.......

  • Really? It's night and day difference. I'm testing the mod right now, on my "old" 3090, and I get a steady 60 fps, with PMDG 737-800, parked at FSDT KORD, at 5120x1440 32:9, I barely hit 40 befor

  • I'm testing this right now and my mind is blown.  I now understand why all the hype about FG.  3080ti, 4K, mostly high/ultra settings and have been pegged at 60FPS on first test flight in the Fenix.

  • I was one of the people who basically ordered an RTX 4000 series card only because of Frame Generation. And FG is really impressive.  Now I'm glad everyone gets to participate in that experience.

I tried this and the frame rate increase was notable but turning on DX12 gives me ground texture bleed through at numerous airports. Definitely a no go for me.

You're thinking of DLSS, not frame generation.

I didn't see any blurry or downgraded graphics when I got frame generation working.

This mod works fine for me and with TAA I see no image degradation. Keep in mind you will get stutters if your FPS are low to begin with.

What degraded graphics? You do realise that you do not need to use DLSS filtering, which renders in a lower resolution then upscale it? Use TAA with Frame Generation and 100% render scale. Zero loss of quality, no blurry gauges or ghosting effects on glass cockpits

Hi,

this works very well for me, even on my 2070ti-card. The only problem I have is with the Fenix A320. I choose it on the World map, choose my airport and start it. Then in the loading window the fenix app starts as normal, but then MSFS got stuck and I never get to the "Fly Now"-screen.

This only happens with the Fenix. PMDG, Flybywire, ATR, E-Jets, A310, FSR, Hondajet etc. all work perfectly..

Anyone has some suggestions?

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

Hi Legends,

I have the mod working but I am seeing no framerate increase b/w having FG off and on..  I am using the in game FPS counter, does that work correctly? If not what is a good FPS counter?

That will only show the true FPS, not the generated FPS.

thanks, not sure why i am seeing no performance increase, could it be my monitor is gsync?

Also PSA: a lot of external framerates counters will crash the sim running this FG program. MSI afterburner did with mine. Turned Afterburner off, no more crashes. That’s kind of the thing, we do this for better framerates but the dev mode framerates counter doesn’t show it, so we is something external, and that external program crashes the sim…

Does .8 work better than previous versions? I'm using .6. Is there a better experience with the newer version?

Windows Game bar and MSI Afterburner show the total fps.

How to access the Windows game bar? I have Windows 10.

Press the windows logo key + G on your keyboard. Then you can move and pin the performance window to make it stay visible.

Tick ‘alternative displays render’ in the Fenix app. Solved that problem for me.
