February 12, 20242 yr Quite unfortunate. I just don't have the heart to put the time into preparing a flight only to encounter all these challenges, especially the dreaded fall from the sky. I have uninstalled it now and will wait until later in the spring and try again - looking forward to the 777F now for my cargo operations. MSFS 2024. This is probably because MEARZ waypoint is so close to the flyout course. They're expecting you to manually fly to it. You should not try to clear this discontinuity, given its close proximity. That degree of turn in that short of distance is asking a lot. Instead, and notably, I flipped into heading mode (the SID itself calls for "manual") and not direct-to. Going direct-to when you're that close...it's asking for trouble. I don't know how a later-gen LNAV setup would handle that. Going to direct-to produces anomalous results with the AP, but no crash or fall out of sky. I've seen lots of documentation on the vintage-1983 LNAV on this airplane and it really does not surprise me that it does that, in that particular closely-packed waypoint situation. HDG mode and vector around MEARZ worked for me, and kept Pilot2ATC happy (they had cleared me to MEARZ anyway). Once I was fairly close to my heading to the next waypoint PXV, I entered NAV and it hooked right up. So I don't know exactly how you handled it, and I certainly share your frustration if the airplane didn't do as expected, but again, that's a very tight setup on that SID and it really doesn't surprise me that I had to vector around to properly fly-by MEARZ and then around to my heading to PXV. Regarding fall out of sky, I have about 60 hours on this airplane and I've had no fall out of sky. If that's happening for you I hope you can find a solution. Note that I am using the latest current version (1.0.6) and I this is coming from a guy who did have problems with 1.0.5. Hope that gives you another data point at least. Yes, it's a vectored departure with a depicted segment, so an "old school" SID before so many became RNAV pilot nav SIDs, but the rest of this doesn't really make sense. MEARZ is 11nm DME from VHP which itself is about 5nm northwest of the field, so that's... about 12 nm distance from KIND to MEARZ? Any RNAV system should be able to draw that line. Will a newer RNAV system draw a nice, pretty curved line from the acceleration point to the first fix? Sure, but the A300 will do it fine too.

Should do it vs. actually doing it are two different things. I did what I had to do (HDG) to get there, and get around there. I noted what didn't work. Why the ??? -- I was just reporting what I did and how I did it. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

I will go back and revisit the departure and see how it goes. MSFS 2024. February 14, 20242 yr any way to fill this bird with fuel without the engines off ? I just don't have the time, cause every once in a while I get a crash in this plane, unlike PMDG 737's. 10700kf, 3080 nividia, 32gbs 3400mhz, 1,000 watts power, M.2 DVMe !tb, boot, 1tb 7200rpm, storage, windows 10 home

Never understood why some people just throw in the "unlike pmdg 737's." or "unlike (fill in the blank)" in a comment. Its totally irrelevant one to the topic and two to your own question. PMDG 737s have nothing to do with the INIBUILDS a300.

Apply load to aircraft with engines off (apu/gpu if desired) 3. Choose Panel Stare “Ready For Takeoff”; fuel and payload immediately drops 4. IMMEDIATELY click apply load to aircraft, but do it quickly or it will fail with the warning placard. Give it a try and report if it works for you. -B Edited February 15, 20242 yr by btacon
February 15, 20242 yr I do it like this and it worked all the time since Version 1.0 : Departure from the Runway as i do this most of the time. Go to the EFB and load your Simbrief PLN. On the EFB set Panel state to APU. On the EFB weight and balance update Simbrief load Fuel and weight. Set to load that fuel you get there. You see the Fuel begins to count up, wait some seconds than load panel state READY FOR TAKEOFF and the Fuel is ongoeing to count upwards. And the same you can do at the Gate, just set the plane to APU first and go on like above.. This allways worked for me, no fueling problem at all ! cheers 😉 Edited February 15, 20242 yr by pmplayer 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

February 16, 20242 yr I came to this thread as I’m looking into buying the plane. But ouch, just from reading some of the most recent comments, it doesn’t look good. Falling out of the sky?! I spent many hours in their 310 and really like that one, but not sure about this one… 🤷🏻♂️ 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
February 16, 20242 yr Just one alternate view. I've spent many hours flying this plane and have gotten nothing but enjoyment. I'm the kind that meticulously follows the detailed checklist, and haven't had any of the troubles listed. Maybe I'm just lucky.

But for most, there are a number of outstanding issues and every time INI have released a new version, it's fixed two things and broken three... 😄 *I am actually one of those who can fly it without issue! Current version is 1.05 or 1.06 I think. I'm still on 1.03, which worked great for me. It was shortly after 1.03 that things started to go decidedly Pete Tong! In VS mode the FPM selector does not reset to zero every 20 seconds or so? Because this happens to literally everyone from what I've heard. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
February 16, 20242 yr Generally I have a good impression of iniBuilds due to a number of reasons; high quality airport addons + devs were very responsive after the A310 release. But I'm having second thoughts reading this thread - perhaps their reputation will take a hit if they don't resolve the issues rather quickly. For now I'll probably stick to their A310 as well as the Fenix. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
