Here is another tip that might help those with constant CTD's.  Apparently something happened between versions 1.00 and 1.01 and one of the airline textures created before 1.01 can cause a CTD when loading a flight.  Simply uninstalling your texture of choice and reinstalling seems to help a lot since iniBuild's has updated the bad texture.

The plane is still bloated and needs more refinement but at least on my system the above now prevents pretty much constant CTD's when selecting FLY.

Could someone show me the direction to an engine failure checklist? My engine 2 stopped working today in flight (maybe something I did, I dunno) and I had some problems with the brakes after touch down. I already found out afterwards by experimenting that I had to push some PTU buttons but would like to have a checklist or something similar to know what I have to do in such a situation.

I must say I have so many problems with A300 as of right now. I feel it was release was rushed. Out of all airliners I have Fenix, PMDG. Leonardo this one is the worst in terms of odd errors falling out of sky is one of them LOL

and yet I've had zero issues. 15 flights now.

It's been working perfectly fine.

Have you seen other people reporting the same issues as you?

Initially I had no problem as well. Now I do. The problem is widely reported on inbuild discord. Initially it was blame on FSUPC but seems like both parties with or without FSUPC experience same issue

I’ve had lots of perfect flights with it, and several frustrating ones like tonight where I paused the Sim for a a few minutes, and when I came back and unpaused it, I had what seemed to be a runaway trim issue, spiking my nose up into the sky until I stalled. I actually managed to wrangle control of the aircraft after the stall, but after that, the auto pilot just wouldn’t work properly. This is the second time I’ve had this happen.

Also having issues with throttle calibration as are others reported on the forums and discord.

Those are my two biggest issues, hopefully they can be resolved (I have a few other smaller issues too, like sound balancing and not burning 2x the fuel when flying at 2x time acceleration).

Basically A300 is unflyable. Autopilot doesn't follow the route, doesn't follow direct to, doesn't follow heading. I tried this route twice - no joy

have you tried reinstalling the aircraft completely?

I'll try that route tomorrow.

That would be my next step. The odd thing I completed two successful flights yesterday. By the way 310 windshield wipers use to wipe rain drops, but A300 doesn't. I thought patch would fix it. Am I missing something?

Had this too, from six flights two flights i was falling out of sky aswell.

I am on the A300-600 inibuilds forum and they aware of this issue and working on it..

Hopefully they can fix it with the next upcoming update.

Other than that i like this aircraft, some good systems and a fine artwork, have a lot fun to fly this bird..

cheers 😉

I have to change my initial assessment: This aircraft is in a terrible state. It has many game-breaking bugs and should not have been released in this state. Apart from those bugs it's a great aircraft, though.

1) Falling out of the sky. I didnt have that happen but many others had

2) You must not pause MSFS: otherwise the A300 will pitch up 50 degrees afterwards (runaway trim) and/or it still burns normally fuel while paused! Yesterday after a 30 minute pause my fuel was basically gone and I landed with 0,5 kg left overall (of course I also had the 50 degrees pitch up, but that's for granted anyway)... This is really the worst, I mean how can you release an aircraft that prevents you from using the MSFS menu?!

3) Maintenance, one of THE big features... doesn't work at all. No oil is used between flights, no tire usage etc.

4) VNAV is god awful. It's literally broken in 50% of the arrivals. Now how much of that is actually realistic (the A300 VNAV *was* awful in real life) I don't know.

Overall assessment: Don't buy (yet). And be vocal - no one of us wants them to relase the A350 in such a state...

EDIT: Some of that *seems* to be only the case for FSUIPC users, especially the pause menu stuff.

I disagree. Since release i have flown it across Europe and Africa (about 100 hrs) with absolutely zero of those issues.

Overall assessment: Go buy it and see for yourself. It's a great and fun plane to fly if handled right.

So in roughly one week since release you have flown 100 hours? 14 hours a day? WOW! LOL

I can answer Number 3 - They disabled it with the latest update to see if it was a cause of one of the major issues being reported at the time. It's going to be enabled again in the next update.
