I believe that may be the difference here. As I remember them saying the issue is with the default one. We shall have to see what happens. In that regard, it works exactly like a real EGPWS, which is not a “radar”’of any kind, but which has a digital database of worldwide terrain and displays it based on GPS-derived aircraft position and altitude.
