I've just completed a flight in the Fenix from Manchester to Alicante successfully after the SDK update.

Looks good so far

Spoke too soon, second flight from Alicante to Cologne CTD'd.

I may try the new beta and see how that goes but I want to make sure the reverse thrust issue doesn't affect PMDG and Fenix first.

It had better not, as I plan to have a few flights in the PMDG 737-600 over the weekend.

Updating the SDK will have no effect on the sim. Any positive results being seen are just CTD luck of the draw.

No sim files, code referenced by the sim, or code referenced by installed third party products are changed. Downloading the SDK simply downloads the documentation, samples, and reference code headers and libraries used by developers at development time. Once the products are packaged, they are shipped with their version of these references.

I believe both are affected (most planes with reverse are).

Funny you had to point that out Matt.

I was just sitting here for the last day shaking my head in disbelief that people actually think that would do anything to their sim. 😉

Never mind.

Sim is perfectly stable for me. I hope that they are not going to row back on the memory/performance optimisations just to cater for those with dodgy hardware.

In the Inibuilds A300 the reversers are also affected. BTW Did a flight without problems EDDH - EHGG in latest beta update without problems.

Thrust reversers are working fine on my PMDG 737-600.

How do you have them configured Christopher? I have them through FSUIPC and they don't work since 1.37.4.0.

What are you even talking about? The CTDs in the beta aren't caused by bad hardware.

the amount of available memory. Not the quality of the memory chips installed.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Button 4 on my CH Flightstick Pro joystick. I press and hold the button to arm the reversers, and then increase thrust with the throttle wheel. When I am done, I reduce the thrust to idle, and release the button.

EDIT: Ah, sorry. I thought that this was something that happened after the small update the other day, but I see that it is with the BETA version. My apologies.

Please read the EDITED version of my post. I did not realise that I was in the BETA thread!
