This is the disk space required, and not the actual download size

Just a few stats from my 1st beta flight. What's recorded is Van's RV-14 final approach rwy 16R FlyTampa YSSY. These numbers look promising and reflect the in-sim fluid experience.

Good news. It's always annoying to download content at 1-3 Mbps after the last four/five WU/SU releases.

Just be aware its most likely because i removed a lot of content i do not use (trainings, missions, planes etc...). Others report about 2.7 gb download.

should have done one before updating for comparison. or perhaps you still have some of your old frametime stats benchmark? I knew we can rely on Capt_Piett's Benchmark.

They're wrongly reporting that number (2.7 Gb) as a download size, when it's actually the disk space required

I can turn the PMDG planes more than 10 degrees without having to be taxiing less than 2 knots...hurray!

Any initial thoughts/reviews? 🙂

Fabulous!  I barely got time to fly had to run out of the house.  But I think it defaults to 3 aircraft for now (xcub, VL3, and extra maybe?)

I'm going to mess around with the SWS RV's, the Black Square Velocity, and any other G3X addon out there.  Most full integrations will take developer work... and who knows if they're willing to do anything.  But I'm guessing our resident panel xml tinkerer, @Bert Pieke is already on the case.

Just a note that at the moment I think the WT GNS can act as a valid navigator (full IAPs/procs etc) but the GTNs need their own "bridge" to connect to the G3X.  So I expect that to take some time.

This G3X update is probably one of my favorites and one I’ve been waiting for since 2020 released. I really like the Carbon Cub, but its avionics always kills it for me. Really looking forward to this one. WT for the win, once again. Oh, now I’m rhyming.

True, let's see if I can conjure up some pre-beta stats.

I did occur one strange issue flying around Melbourne, related to frame generation. Suddenly, with FG on, I get these strange "screen tearing" artifacts - difficult to explain. I did have these in the same region pre-beta too iirc. Not sure what's going on, and haven't seen any similar reports. The issue disappers as FG is turned off.

Ditto!  I have avoided G3X equipped planes like the plauge.  The thing looked so corny and barely was readable with the teeny weeny font.  This is night and day and looks like the real one - and opens up more planes to realism.  Amazing job by WT!

Just an update. Did a 1.5 hour 747 flight….not a single darn stutter.

Well I am glad for you, but that is very strange, because there have been no improvements to the PMDG planes yet.  The ground handling improvements only take effect on three default Asobo planes at the moment.  The C172 being one of them.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Next time it happens, try toggling between Fullscreen and windowed and back.

Hi Jack, could you please verify if the front wheel is still skidding while turning? I'm really considering entering my first beta this time. Thanks very much.
