April 3, 20242 yr Big quality improvements for me. Really surprised how much to be honest. Looks and feels almost as good as 8xSSAA that I was using on P3D!
April 3, 20242 yr Wow, ok, sounds great, I'm off to give this a try. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. I would imagine most of the tweaks aren't needed if you have a 40-series card and native frame generation. You can (I think) also enable Preset E through the Nvidia Profile Inspector. My question therefore if whether you still need the registry hack? He seemed to be pretty certain that everyone needed it. Can someone you has the appropriate registry entry/entries post them here? I'd like to see what needs to be changed. Thank you.

April 3, 20242 yr Ah yes.... just re-watched it and got to tweak it first... i think ill wait for the full release as my small brain was hurting after that! With excellent explanations I might add. I don’t fancy DLSS Tweaks at all though. I get dizzy by the extremely cumbersome setup. Hence, I keep using Inspector which I find much more easy and intuitive. Also - no registry change needed. Preset E, as Island explains, is a new “collection” of DLSS implementations by NVidia, apparently more suited to this DLSS version vs the older presets. None of this is necessary. But I’m pretty confident that it’s better than using MSFS’ DLSS 2.4.2 version from oct ‘22 - as each new DLSS version brings improvements in image quality, performance, or both. TAA on the other hand, is not continuously updated, AFAIK. Both .dlls are needed for FG if one wants to try different presets, or change DLSS quality (I’m using 0.85x). April 4, 20242 yr DLSS with DLAA and FG still aren't winning me over. 3.6 seemed to be zero improvement over 3.5. Displays still ghost. DLSS 3.7...sigh, if its not in DLSS swapper I don't care. I'm doing TAA with FG ON render scale 100 at DSR(DL) 2.25 at 3840X1620 everything maxed out except TLOD using AutoFPS and it's just about perfect. 75-85 FPS, and sooo smooth. I finally have the performance I have always wanted with a 13700k and 4080 super.
April 4, 20242 yr Why I do not like this mod, let me count the ways. 1 it removes all DLSS as a choice for AF (DLSS Quality flying out of London City airport is 102 fps. Using DLAA or TAA it is about 75-80. This airport is almost nestled among tall high rise buildings in the city. 2 It does what he says for the images, but on my system in introduces a shimmer in scenery, especially buildings. DLSS clears this shimmering up. In summary : no choice of DLSS in the options, and slightly shimmering buildings. Therefore, I reverted back to version 3.6 DLSS. April 4, 20242 yr Commercial Member Looks like 3.7 is now available in the Swapper. (But holy cow, the gauge ghosting is still awful for me.) Kyle Weber (Private Pilot, ASEL; Flight Test Engineer)Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM

April 4, 20242 yr Hello everyone, I'm a little late to the party, unfortunately we have some very dismaying concerns in this country at the moment (...) and I don't have much time to delve into the subject further. So to be honest, I didn't understand a single word about this DLSS, Frame generation for all RTX cards, DLSSG files, DLDSR+DLSS stuff, despite the excellent explanation work of our friend Cpt_Piett here on this forum. My question is very straightforward. I have an RTX 4090 and a large 4K screen. What would be the point for me to look into these subjects? I recodem to you - use dsr factors, tick them all -use dlss DLAA setup in msfs, use frame generation. - increase resolution in msfs that much you can afford. Msfs fps is fps without frame generation. To get real fps, you must double the msfs fps amount. With fg 60fps is 120fps for your eyes.

April 4, 20242 yr Agreed with the above comment, except to add the following (after a long time yesterday trying to see if the new Preeet E made any difference): If you use DLSS / DLAA as suggested above, use Nvidia Profile Inspector to set Preset F. If you use DLSS with Ultra Quality / Quality / etc., try Preset C. Personally, I found Preset E to have much more ghosting when using DLSS / DLAA. For reference, here's an explanation of the presets: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/165yxyy/dlss_35_presets/?rdt=42823
