FlightFactor developer Roman Berezin is now a Boeing 777 rated pilot, and all that specialsed input has gone into this new V2 version.

This v2 of the "Triple Seven" breaks boundaries in every direction you can think of for a simulation. And it is about as feature laden as you ever could wish for.

Perfect timing, I just learned how to fly the Zibo 737! That was a steep learning curve when looking for Youtube videos as tutorials, I should have just read the manual.

Xplane is pretty sick with orthos at 10K+, dogging thunderstorms! The 172 that I am rated in will never be the same.

Ive been messing around with 2020 lately because the scenery is just tad better. I was flying the A2A Comanche and it felt like I was flying in slow motion while landing. I went back and forth between the two simulators in GA planes to see if there was some kind time/speed/warp slow-motion mode enable in 2020. To make a long story short, the flight dynamics are basically on rails in 2020. Xplane just feels fluid, like you are swimming in water vs a roller-coaster on rails.

Hand flying in xplane means your always hands on.

Previously I have not had good experiences with the airplanes produced by FlightFactor, especially regarding performance (the A320 was poorly optimized, reducing the framerate by half).
This B777 v2 looks like a great aircraft.
I wonder how the performance will be. 🙄

Performance is a non-issue for me.  They did have performance issues with the A320 but that was resolved a long time ago and has not been an issue since.  777v2 flies beautifully.  It never leaves the magenta line, turns smooth, vertical speed changes are smooth, FLCH engages really smooth, motions just feel like you're on a real 777.  I can't wait to see their VNAV implementation.

Sure there are bugs and missing features, but if you have purchased you get access to the private forum group with bug reports, bug fixes, what's fixed for next release, lists of items to be fixed or implemented, basically a real-time status of the development.  I've reported a couple issues so far that have been acknowledged for a fix.  There seems to be more activity in that private group than the rest of the forum.

I've been very happy with the purchase, even knowing the PMDG was always going to be a day one purchase.

Performance is super good for me. All I can say without breaking the NDA is that it surpassed my expectations by a long margin. It's such a detailed add-on that you can literally spend hours on the apron only doing various stuff.

Huge congratulations to the FF team, truly a huge milestone in flight simulation

yet they left the 320 and 350 unfinished once the sales had dried up.

Is there an ETA on the VNAV?

Still sounds more customer friendly than what companies such as google or microsoft would do in such a situation and just delete the lot.

not sure there is such a thing as a "finished" engineering project. Its one of the reasons I get super grumpy over "no refund" policies.

People have to earn a living, if their is no money coming in to fund further development why would any sane person expect to see further development?

I read that review from the perspective of doing the sparky744 for fun and learning. (still the only VR friendly tubeliner), just from glancing over what they have in already is enough to say it sets the standard for long haulers in the same way the CL650 sets the standard for bizjets. That deserves congratulations. (VR isnt standard yet, I expect it will be, I can never go back to 2D, but as long as 2D is the norm....)

Dev mentioned just a very rough estimate of a month from this past Sunday.  I will update this thread when it's implemented.

I couldn't resist myself and purchased the thing. It is excellent at this current stage, that's all I can say.

How can I buy it ?

Can't find it at the Store ???

Keep checking here . They make available new product keys once in a while. I bought it last week.

New announcement from Ramzess yesterday:

“I am here to give you a status report. So, I am glad to report that there are no replicatable crashes, weird clear bugs, misbehavior of control laws etc etc. a lot of missing stuff have been added to the FMS and EFB. The hot topics in the oven now are Navigraph charts (days away), radar (old and new) probably a week away, performance calculator (days away) and of course VNAV. CPDLC is cooking too but not there yet.

For VNAV and performance culc I had to do quite a bit of math and then some checks and all kind of interesting phenomena have been fixed. for example, single engine performance had to be really done properly with Vmca, Vmcg tuned. It is very cool now that you can defiantly see how CG for example influences v2 because of Vcma. Also, single engine climbs are now within 1% of the manual which comes from the correct negative thrust (drag) created by a windmilling engine.“

So this fantastic plane should be relased in the coming weeks I assume. Do someone know what they refer to with radar old&new? Are they meaning weather-radar? „New“ would mean that they already implemented the new weather-api/radar Laminar is working on right now? Or is that something different?

My nest investment.... I just have to find out how ??? How the heck can I buy it? I don't have that money!!!
