Would like to see in MSFS

I really miss the Realair Lancair Legacy from FSX and the reason I don't fly G.A. in MSFS today.

FSW is doing a version with G3X and GTN - I wasn't as excited initially because the G3X was poop but now that WT has worked their magic I'm very excited.  Though I'd love to see a mostly analog panel too.

It boggles my mind that after all this time we still don't have a single Aero Commander or Aerostar to fly...

They're not nearly as detailed as the old FSX version but did you know Mike from Lotussim made the Reno L39s?  I've got the Red Thunder variant with a nice little G3X mod and it works very well.  Otherwise Sarance is my next favorite as it has more of the analog feel to it.

Thanks Ryan, alas the FSX L-39 really set the bar. Do you know what happened to Lotus Sim and why the FSX L-39 wasn't sold or passed on to another developer?

Lotussim was one guy - Mike Johnson.  And now he makes some aircraft for MSFS.  Not sure if he has any personal projects going.  But I'd love to see a few.  Maybe in 2024.

Of course that big Airbus and the Boeing 767 from BlueBird simulations. The FlyByWire A380 and the BlueBird 767 are currently the most promising and interesting top-shelf high end products that will release in the oncoming 2-3 years for the new next flight sim. 😺

Study-level / complex versions of:

  • A380
  • B737 Max
  • B757
  • B787
  • Dash 8
  • L-1011

And high-quality renditions of the following to fly those listed above to / from:

  • KATL
  • KDFW
  • LFPG
  • RJTT
  • SBGL

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

Airplanes I'd LOVE to see nicely represented in MSFS 2020:

- Blanik L-13 (the first glider I flew IRL)

- SZD26 Cobra 15 glider (wow, that flew like an F-16 in the mountain... I LOVED it IRL)

- SOCATA Rallye Commodore

- BAC 111

- VC-10

- Ilyushin IL-62M

- Sud Aviation Caravelle

- B747-200/300/SP

- B707

- B727-100/200

Regarding scenery, I can't really ask for more than what MSFS 2020 already offers. I even have my LPMN acceptably rendered - yes it's not PERFECT but good enough, and the scenery around is so true to real that it allows me to feel like being there !

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Despite having some nice addons on msfs I got fed up waiting for my old faves so clean installed fsx on my new machine yesterday. I won't consider flying it until I have it running my planes and scenery plus cfg tweaks. I'm in no rush but it will be ready quicker than msfs will be for me.

My favorite msfs planes :

Fsw lear

Pmdg 736 and 739

Jf f28

A2a comanche

Runner up Bs Dukes

The planes/scenery i can't do without any more that I own in fsx :

All the orbx fsx scenery (yes you read right, some £8000 worth of it, 300 odd airports and all regions etc)

PMDG md11, 747 qots2, j41, 777-200

RealAir lancair legacy/scouts

A2a cherokee, mustang civ p51, t6 texan, Connie (!)

Also looking forward to :

Weather radar (true) and night flying.

The scenery quality drop won't be an issue as I'll be flying mostly in ifr conditions like I used to when I had a wna pc and had to. Those old school orbx airports were mostly great so I can start and end flights using my favorite planes soon.

I appreciate fsx mostly as Microsoft said "here's your sandbox do what you like with it" (and devs certainly did.. Very creative work there!)

Msfs however it's " here's OUR sandbox read the eulas carefully if you don't follow the rules we'll sue you if you don't like the rules tough we have sponsors now that give the orders"

I do really enjoy most of my time in msfs but if you haven't like me also enjoyed previous sims and addons you won't miss what I do.

Well THAT blew up in my face. OrbX 2024 with its WNA hosting failing connection every airport. I miss ftp so bad. Login, download, backup. Files yours forever.

Oh did I forget to mention a flyby view (similar to X-Plane) revamped replay system and better overall flight physics. Forget planes if they don't seem to feel (whatever that means sitting in a static chair looking at a 2D screen or through VR) like the comp.

An A330-200 and a 767-300 (that is not Captain Sim's). These are the only "modern" aircraft I've ever flown IRL that aren't yet released for MSFS.

And also SODE or something similar. The default jetway animations are so flawed...
