May 29, 20242 yr Very tempted .. a lot of positive comments recently on FSHUD. Just one question to Users. How it manage big airports traffic for landing and takeoff? In example in EGLL 27L takeoff and 27R landing (or viceversa) as in reality most of the time ? And rising the bar of complexity what about LIRF where usually takeoff are from 25 and landing 16s or 34s, or EHAM? Thanks,
May 29, 20242 yr My only grip with FSHUD : if you want up to date navigation Database you have to have your navigraph subscription Active. It could at least stay with the last version you had access to, like on simbrief 😕 but it reverts to a rather outdated one if when you start FSHUD it connects to NAVIGRAPH and your subscription is not active. May 29, 20242 yr I float between this and BATC. I do like the voices better in BATC. Howeve, the new voices in FSHUD don't bother me too much.

May 29, 20242 yr Is this just a button control ATC or can you actually speak to it akin to SI / BATC? [MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

May 29, 20242 yr I bought it, flew out of KSFO, with my setting it was pretty busy, took a long time to get responses, that's sort of realistic except IRL the controller will come on and tell you to standby or just repeat your callsign, not just leave you wondering if they even heard you 🙂 Also, during the flight you are supposed to be talking to Center right, IRL that usually means enroute traffic above FL180 (in the US), but you hear this channel talking to both approach and departure traffic, the program clearly only has one real active channel 😞 My biggest beef was for no reason I could see it didn't respect the STAR I had in my plan, right about where the thing would begin it suddenly vectored me off direct to some VOR, and then once there to another VOR, it left me finally out in nowhere, and finally decided to insert me into the STAR later when I was too high and too close... I am not an ATP, only a PPL, but fuel costs money and I suspect this kind of mad routing would really not go over well, it burnt a bunch of fuel unnecessarily. I am going to have to do more flights to make up my mind, the traffic handling is what it has over BATC, both parties are racing to provide what the other has, it would be nice if they would just merge and provide the best of each... but of course that won't happen 🙂 Oh, about the voices, the "static effect" or whatever you want to call it can be adjusted with a slider, I ended up turning it WAY down and then it was easy to understand. There is also a slider for the voice "speed", also turned that to minimum. Let's see, also your simbrief flight can automatically set your flight ID if you so select automatcaiily but you can choose that too. All the things you can set make it very robust, if you are looking for a menu-driven interface you'll be happy (I like that about BATC also). No, you aren't talking to it, but for me that doesn't really thrill me anyway 🙂 Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines

I can confirm, they absolutely will NOT give you a refund, they make you read their policy about that when you purchase. It's 35 bucks, the cost of a nice meal, it's not a big deal. May 29, 20242 yr I've yet to see FSHud give me a Star. Just approaches, but I fly the BAE 146, so I guess that would make sense. I also never program a dep or approach into my flight plan and let FSHud decide what to use. Just what I do. Agree voices much better with static slider low to none. Menu driven, but its nice and small and can be collapsed and its not very intrusive. You can also let the Co Pilot do most of the talking, so you hardly have to use the menu that way. I have an i9 box, with 32G and a 3080, I set values to something reasonable, and I did not notice any performance problems compared with flying without ATC, I saw something on the boobTube with a guy pumping the numbers way up, maybe then you'd have a problem, but the most traffic you inject the more you'll have delays in responses so I wouldn't want to do that 🙂 To me performance does not seem to be an issue.
