May 31, 20242 yr Voices and speech recognition is not the most difficult thing to implement nowadays. More difficult is a good UI and backend / procedures / AI traffic / vectoring / phraseology. You can let the program run with any available voice, the question is of course do you want to pay for quality and how much you want to pay or don’t you want to pay at all….. Regardless of what online source will be chosen it should also be possible to add your own voices like Cereproc. Competition seems to be a good thing... 😉 Motishow is a bit optimistic though because nothing has been decided yet and no one has actually heard possible voices. The dev is mainly 'thinking out loud' and asking for wishes. There isn't an actual 1.4 beta yet. Keep in mind, cereproc voices are over $30 a voice, 10 voices, around $300. Ouch..

May 31, 20242 yr Keep in mind, CereProc dont offer free updates to the voices. They are now on v7. I have 8 voices which is v5. They are not updated. I need to buy them again. They do sell update subscription for a single voice. I have 8, oh dear, its gonna be expensive. Edited May 31, 20242 yr by deepstar

You could always ask them for a 50% discount code and you might get lucky if you're buying 10 voices in one go. 🍀 I can't hear them any more but would if I had to. FSHud has some good variety for free. Edited May 31, 20242 yr by toby23 Ryzen 5800X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, Windows 11Link to my: Dynamic Flight Dispatch Tool

To use Cereproc (or Ivona) voices will only be an option that can be used in addition to the voices that are already included in FSHud. Nobody will need to buy Cereproc voices for FSHud. Several people requested that option because they already have several Cereproc voices (for P2ATC, MCE etc.) and want to use them in FSHud as well. Edited May 31, 20242 yr by RALF9636
May 31, 20242 yr Amazon Polly voices can also be used (same api), for free (around a million chars per month), there a lot and at least at the level of cereproc voices. Drawback, the setup and install is a bit complex. Edited May 31, 20242 yr by Merawen

June 1, 20242 yr Does FSHud come with a Flight One 30 day return policy? I have MSFS2020 (one license) installed on 2 PCs. Can FSHud (single purchase) be installed on 2 PCs? Can FSHud use 3rd party airports or just MSFS2020 airports? Can FSHud (single purchase) be installed on P3D and MSFS2020 at the same time? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

No, we are using Cloud Services and every user costs us Cloud Usage - therefore trials are not allowed. 2. Using 1 license you can only run it on one computer, however we can provide you second license for another computer. 3. FSHud support any airports as long as airport is not broken as described in video below. 4. Yes, you can use same FSHud installation for P3D and MSFS.

June 1, 20242 yr I bought FSHud yesterday, mainly for the traffic injection while waiting for better voices (or equivalent traffic injection from SI or BATC). I have a powerful system but I do notice that it struggles at bigger airports when running FSHud. However, I’ll let it slide because the ATC is mighty impressive. the interface is slick and gives you nice options to modify your routing inflight (down to the gate assignment as well which is nice for concise taxi instructions on arrival!) Vectoring on arrival to the IAF has been spot on in the few cases I’ve tried it so far. So much so that I already just trust the ATC and comply directly with every instruction they send me (something I don’t always do for BATC or SI yet). Yes, the voices are a bit robotic currently but I love it that I can hear all of the other traffic on frequency as I fly along. I’ve really been missing that. traffic injection (I’m using it with FSLTL) has some quirks that regular FSLTL doesn’t have — many aircraft are missing lights, departing planes have no noticeable sound, wheels disappear as soon as departing aircraft are airborne, no interaction with gates… but I’m hoping these are temporary and will be fixed at some point? I love VFR flight and GA IFR, so for those I’ll likely stick to SI, but for commercial IFR flights I’m currently hooked on this. Really great job!

Saved me some potential troubleshooting.
June 3, 20242 yr I decided to try it and like it mostly, but taxiing and using the arrow to navigate the runways is not really working for me. The arrow switches directions abruptly, often with no clear indication of where exactly you should be turning, and to me it's like driving with a passenger that yells "Turn right!" just after you've already crossed an intersection. In fact, it feels like a nice idea that's just not very efficient in practice. Anyone else having issues? We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically......
