And here we already go again with misleading headlines:

They clearly posted on their forum in bold letters:we anticipate making her available for purchase on 25JUN24, with provisional backup days extending out to 30JUN24

And yet this thread title implies the 25th is the set date.

It is not!

It is the start of the release date window, but it can be as late as the 30th.

Agreed and from the past experience I would put my bet on the 30th.

  • I think we get it Bob. You don't do or like long hauls. 😅 I'm sure I missed a 4th remark somewhere in the 7 pages. 😉

Not sure when you guys will get her....but this one is already on flightsim.to for your downloading pleasure (click the link in my sig to get to my flightsim.to page).  More to follow when I get time.

  • From Reddit someone used ChatGPT to summarize RSR’s forum post. Then someone else used Claude AI to turn it into Randazzle speak. It’s gold because I can picture Randazzle saying this into a mirror wi

Still waiting for that skip flight function. Actually doing the flights has become so exhausting, would save me so much time if I could just load up the plane, put in the flight plan and then magically appear at my destination 👌

Even better, just program in  three or four long haul flights, press start, and you could just stay away from the PC for 3 or 4 days, and when you return all the flights are finished. No pre flight, takeoff, cruise, landing etc.  to worry about, it's all on auto.. 😉

Probably wise to put some “slack” in the potential release date. After the 737 was initially released to streamers, “Flying Fabio” found a game-breaking bug where landing with flaps 40 under certain circumstance would cause the aircraft to cartwheel and flip upside down. Despite the best efforts of in-house beta testers, when individuals not part of the development team (i.e. YT streamers) start putting the aircraft through its paces, they might well uncover something that the core beta team missed.

The people will be raging and screaming if it is not out on the 25th.

"You said it would be out on the 25th!!!! You promised!! I have taken days of work!!"

Same thing happens every time, no matter how many precautions you put in. People only read what they want to read.

Didn't know that, haven't done a long haul for 20 years. No real interest in it since FS9.

Yes, I would never do it in real-time also. x2 or x4 in the cruise part makes things more enjoyable. In APL, you only get proportional rewards when using time compression, so it is not cheating.

Do I REALLY have to program them all in?!? Surely there must be an app to do that for me? There are not enough hours in the day for me to have to spend any of them DOING anything..🤨😇

maybe simbrief could add that to the FP/

happy flying for the ones jumping on this version...wake me up when the first F variant is arriving.. I want no stinking pax 😄

T.

I will finally have an add-on that allows me the ability to Take off at 6:30am before I start work and land at 6:30 pm when I am done with work 🙂

My sim machine sits on the other side of my office so I can glance over from time to time and monitor progress but "watch" the flight the entire time as it hums along while I work.

Once work is done I can sit down and land.  It's perfect for me!  12 hour flights are ideal 🙂

Have a Wonderful Day

It clearly does. It should read "PMDG 777 Releasing June 25th to June 30th.", but it does leave out the vital second part.

Hopefully the FS2Crew 777 won't be too far behind it. I can't fly without it.

Because the current release date is the 25th barring any unforeseen issues.

RE: FF 777 -> Those sim graphics (clouds, anti aliasing etc) are looking really bad. It's not even an option. Worse than previous version (11).

I believe the current version of the FF 777 doesn't have VNAV support yet. But my understanding is, it will have VNAV when it's officially released.  My understanding is that the PMDG 777 for MSFS will have VNAV support on its release.
