Is it me or does PMDG's 777 cockpit look outdated?

Pmdg are a mid-tier legacy porting dev with poor support and atrocious store.  They are not even in the same ball park as Fenix or Bluebird. Or even FlyByWire for that matter.

Oh Come on, the Fenix when it first came out landed like a pogo stick. It's FPS were terrible, took them months and months to get that sorted out. Even today,  if you check their Discord page, dozens of complaints about blank displays, Fenix app not connecting, etc.etc. The PMDG 737 still runs rings around it in performance.

It's skeptics like you that motivate us to prove you wrong. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. I've been in sim development off and on for over 26 years. We're one of the few devs tha

Maybe in being more than a screenshot? You're comparing a non-existing product to an existing product, and all based on a screenshot. Also how do we know the Bluebird devs are perfectionists? You h

For a number of people. On the other hand a number of people also had no trouble. Still to this day I have not had blank displays or Fenix app causing problems like plenty of others who also do not.

Says it all with the ported sounds that are wrong.

Compared to the A350 and even 787, rest very outdated but still love the 777 cockpit.

It's just that Boeings looks old compared to Airbuses!😁

777 is an old plane that's why. Nothing like the modern 787 and airbus which you are used to. Your brain is playing tricks on you.

Watch out for the MD-11 coming soon. It's really old !

We know the 777 is a old plane , the issue is the PMDG 777 Panel looks like it was ported from FSX/P3D.

We know the MD11 wont be ported as its a new plane build from scratch unlike the 777.

Just because its PMDG does not mean they would never port , They would just never admit it.

PMDG fan boys wont like that comment

I made a mistake in buying their 737 BBJ. Atrocious texture work, jpeg-textures, fuzzy resolution, a cockpit door you can't open, etc. Low-rez cabin, etc.

And before someone comes in here and says: but it flies like the real thing! Well, yeah, PMDG have been at this plane pretty much for decades.

I am the owner of Pmdg products including the 738. I think it is a pretty good aircraft with good FPS.

But it's kind of legacy in many ways. There are issues which need fixing or upgrading. I have posted recently. We also now have the locked yoke problem since SU15. Also I would have expected all aircraft settings to be in the EFB tablet by now. I expect other upgrades just as other Devs have done. Also the concern is, once FS2024 comes, customers would have to re-purchase the aircraft again just to get these updates. Because this company has a history of this.

Indeed, Bluebird is still vaporware. However the dev is very transparent. We have seen numerous updates, screenshots, sounds, tech demos and presentations. Based on that we can see it's at Fenix level (or close to). A day one purchase.

And it’s the 757 bluebird are making isn’t it…. And that’s a very modern Flightdeck isn’t it….. Not!🙄

Just to be clear - the P3D sounds do not sound like the new ones - so if they were ported, it was not a "straight copy".  P3D 777 sounds are better as far as I can tell (only own the P3D version).

Bluebird 😂 They've got as many aircraft announced for MSFS as PMDG has released for MSFS.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Again, pretty sure we're talking about texturing, overall visual quality....not the ***word not allowed flighdeck itself being old............

What is known is that Bluebird devs are perfectionists. How does any Pmdg cockpit come close to this?  And what we also know is they have stated these are not the final textures.  The final ones will be even better.

For some reason the displays are easier to read than the Fenix/Maddog and on pair with the 737. I wish the brightness and fonts was adjustable like on the QW787.

Fittling around with the GFE does help but ruins the outside VC brightness. I recall Chaseplane had a function to adjust settings and brightness without doing harm outside VC in P3D? We need this in MSFS.
