Is it me or does PMDG's 777 cockpit look outdated?

Featured Replies

The 777 is my favorite plane and I was extremely happy when PMDG finally released it. But when I loaded it up for the very 1st time and saw the cockpit, I was extremely dissappointed in how bad it looks. After flying the Fenix A320 and seeing how beautiful the cockpit is, I feel as though PMDG dropped the ball big time on this, and I really hope that if it's true what my eyes are telling me that they will go back and give it a good makeover to make it more inline with MSFS 2020 and soon to be 2024's graphic standards.

Maybe in being more than a screenshot? You're comparing a non-existing product to an existing product, and all based on a screenshot. Also how do we know the Bluebird devs are perfectionists? You h

What’s wrong with it? I fly the Fenix as well and the 777 looks great? It’s just a brown cockpit, that’s all.

Opinion is divided on this one. I agree with you unfortunately: to my eyes, it looks like a straight port from FSX or P3D. But others love it 🙂

Yeah, those brown Boeings just look drab and old fashioned in real life, it’s just the way it is.

787 captain.

Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.

Compared to the A350 and even 787, rest very outdated but still love the 777 cockpit.

Think it looks great, especially when you look at it from different angles and observe the details...

I even went back to the analog clock to make it look even older LOL

Other than adding a spot for the tablet has the real flight deck changed since 1994?   I know they converted some 767 to 777 style flight decks but have they changed the original in 30 years?

Have a Wonderful Day

My first thought when I first loaded it was It looks like it was ported over from P3D

Does it look more outdated than the 737?

Are there any full resolution 4K screenshots in png format?

Looks very good to me.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The green light at night makes the cockpit look amazing. I am very happy with it.

I'm not totally sold on it yet either. For me the Fenix stays the benchmark...
