August 19, 20241 yr I much prefer their approach of announcing something than what another prolific developer has been doing for 15+ years: Miss their own release estimates by at least 9 months every time. So I'd rather a developer gives a first insight into the plans at their expected halfway point (without telling anybody that it's the halfway point) and then have another marketing announcement 48-72 hours before release (again without telling anybody how close it really is) and then drop it a week later. No months of waiting for deadlines that are not met anyway.
