Yes they will transfer and play in 2024. But the maker might update the product to take advantage of new 2024 capabilities. In that case you can still use the 2020 version in 2024 but will probably pay a small fee if you want the new 2024 features.

Sounds good, and I’m okay paying a small fee if there’s a legitimate upgrade.

Cheers, Pete

  • Divide this by the amount of hours you spent in MSFS2020 as comparison and tell me, if the per-hour price is still "ouch". I bet even a single beer on a Friday evening is massively more "ouch" when co

  • When I got my PPL in 1978, I used to rent a five year old  C 172 that was on lease back, wet for $29 an hour. Those days are long gone.

  • What's the point of preordering? Is the price going to be different on release day?

I don't recall any of the interviews mentioning the animals being 'live'.

I know they said they modelled migration patterns, but I doubt that would require the cloud to do.

Hey guys , ive been off for 6 months from MSFS and see all the 2024 stuff going on. Is there gonna be a public beta like 2020 had or limited to insiders till release in nov?

On one of the Developer's update Q&A, Jorg said there will be a beta a short time before release. I think he said "A quick one". I don't know if it will be open to everybody.

I asked this exact question in another thread about 2024. And was told that if I have the Steam version 2020 and then buy the MS store 2024, then I would lose all my 2020marketplace addons in 2024 version. So, I'm staying with the Steam version for 2024.

A couple of 'experts' have stated that but I've never seen Microsoft say it.

Given the millions of customers msfs has, the probability of many anguished complaints when the loss is realised that could be avoided by simply translating steam Id to MS Id seems a no-brainer...

Meanwhile I'm sticking with Steam.

You can now buy MSFS 2024 in the presale.

Why would one buy this software on presale? Is there a discount? Or some additional features?
