September 20, 20241 yr Did someone has insight on what's new regarding ATC? I watched most of the "content creator" exclusive preview but they seems all right to the same story telling. No offence. September 20, 20241 yr I just ordered the Collectors Edition from Aerosoft, I think the value for the physical extras is ok. It's 60€ more than the digital Aviator Edition here (280€ / 220€, no shipping costs for Germany). And I also only already have bought one of the extra planes inlcuded in the Aviator Edition. It does not contain any physical media (confirmed in the Aerosoft forum), just an activation code for the MS store. I guess they learned from their stupid DVD-DRM decision for the 2020 physical edition. Windows 11 Pro - Ryzen 3 5900X - nVidia RTX 4090 - 32GB DDR4-3600 === Microsoft Flight Simulator

I purchased from MS and installed to a non-default location. That results in a community folder path of Drive:\msfs\community - doesn't get much simpler than that!
September 20, 20241 yr All I fly now is the PMDG 777 and Fenix A 320. I have never flown a default aircraft, so extra planes are something I would never use. Airports might be worth it.

When it's released, I doubt that your payware aircraft will be fully compatible? When MSFS 2020 was released we had to fly default aircraft for a while before we saw high quality payware. Maybe we will not have to wait so long now, but we will probably need to wait. The walk around will force all devs to update their airplanes. Edited September 20, 20241 yr by CFIJose MSFS

I understood that most, if not all, FS2020 3rd party addons would be compatible in FS2024. If not, I hope that at least the Fenix aircraft will be. Where did I say, I wouldn't buy MSFS 2024??? They have also been talking about how almost all 2020 add-ons, will be compatible, so where did you come up with that conclusion? I am pretty sure that major developers like PMDG and Fenix are already working with advance copies of 2024, to ensure compatibility. Now the payware airports might be another story, but thankfully I haven't bought more than a few of those, if that many.
