What? You’re sure of that? So, any MSFS2020 Premium has no need of the MSFS2024 Premium except for the new aircraft. Which also mean that all aircraft existing in MSFS2020 has not been updated to MSFS2024.

No, the way I remember this is, any planes you purchased from the marketplace will carry over  (not from MS Store to Steam though), but I do not recall him saying you will be able to downgrade (from 2020 Premium Deluxe to 2024 Standard) and yet get to keep all the 2020 PD planes.

I could be wrong, but that's how I remember it. If someone has a link to something definitive, that would be great.

  • Divide this by the amount of hours you spent in MSFS2020 as comparison and tell me, if the per-hour price is still "ouch". I bet even a single beer on a Friday evening is massively more "ouch" when co

  • When I got my PPL in 1978, I used to rent a five year old  C 172 that was on lease back, wet for $29 an hour. Those days are long gone.

  • What's the point of preordering? Is the price going to be different on release day?

Steam is way easier to deal with than the MS Store.

Never had any issues downloading or installing anything from MS store. MS marketplace, I will avoid at all cost.

Would 2024 require a complete uninstall - or will it update over the top of 2020?

Reinstall. It’s a new game. You can have both installed simultaneously

Now I'm getting conflicting info from the official discord. Could have sworn Jorg also said the aircraft from the other editions would carry over.

Nah, it was always that purchases would carry forward so your investment in marketplace items wouldn’t be wasted. However unless the dev updates the add on, they won’t get any 2024 specific features

I mean specifically the 2020 Deluxe and Premium deluxe aircraft.

There's a pinned post on the official discord saying that only Marketplace purchases carry over, not the deluxe/premium aircraft.

Yeah those won’t carry forward. You’ll get the planes from the 2024 edition you buy + any market place planes you had purchased for 2020.

I have no way to prove it, but I suspect my trouble free existence with MSFS has something to do with having it thru Steam.

Illogical, I know, and I stand to be corrected

Did anyone get the CL-415 for 2020 from their preorder?

I'd love to see some pics in the avsim screenshot forum or here

I've received the CL-415 but I haven't installed it yet. Will try to install and get some screenshots later tonight unless someone beats me to it.

Who'd a' thought 50 years ago we' be sitting here drinking chateau du chasseur and playing MSFS2024 with 100 fps?

Aye.

Them's days you'd be glad to have the prize of a cup o'tea.

Aye. A cuppa' cold tea.

Not milk or sugar!

Or tea... in a cracked cup and all.

We never had a cup. We used to drink out of a rolled up newspaper.

Best we could manage was to suck on a piece o'damp cloth.

But you know we were happy those days, but we were poor.

Does the 2024 fauna include sheep? 😃

@ryanbatc Well, I tried. I grabbed some shots and tried to post them in the Screenshots forum but no matter where I hosted them (I tried OneDrive, Google Photos, and Google Drive), Avsim just rejected my share links. So someone else will have to share some shots. I'm done trying to figure out how to share with Avsim.

Oh OK, when I saw the Yorkshire video above, I thought that meant sheep for sure!

I just spent $530 for my BFR on Tuesday. My wallet was crying.
