October 1, 20241 yr So currently, MSFS 2020 has the best default GA avionics thanks to the work of Working Title. MSFS 2020 has the best default G1000 (NXi), G3000, G5000, and G3X for a flight simulator. Actually, we can remove the word "default" because the avionics I just listed are the best in-sim avionics you can get, even if you include payware alternatives (by in-sim, I mean the avionics within the simulator, rather than external hardware avionics). There just isn't a better in-sim G1000 (NXi), G3000, G5000, and G3X than the ones in MSFS 2020. Working Title also made an excellent GNS 430 and GNS 530, the Collins ProLine 21, and they also upgraded the avionics in the default 787 and 747 in MSFS 2020. All these default GA avionics will carry to MSFS 2024. So MSFS 2024 will continue to have the best default GA avionics when it releases. But wait, there is more! Working Title is working on the Honeywell Primus Epic 2 and Universal UNS-1 for MSFS 2024. I look forward to the Honeywell Primus Epic 2 and Universal UNS-1 when MSFS 2024 comes out! Thank you Working Title and I can't wait to try your work in MSFS 2024! i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
October 1, 20241 yr It's crazy what we're gonna get out-of-the-box come MSFS 2024. Back in the day we'd be hundreds of dollars out of pocket to reach parity. October 1, 20241 yr What timing because AAU 3 just went live lol 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

October 1, 20241 yr I'll grant that yes WT and MS have worked their magic and have moved this platform forward in leaps and bounds especially in avionics ... but ... that recent wx radar demonstration on the competing platform is not to be sneezed at. I would LOVE to see that functionality implemented within MSFS .. not half done either ...the full feature implementation.. with the ability of other third party devs to implement it and not some explanation as to why it cannot be done. This is not an invitation for the usual forum rabble rousers/ my sim is better than yours group to jump in and gloat but respect is due when its due and i would love for my chosen platform (MSFS) to try to have those fully fleshed out feature sets as well. So yes i really appreciate the work Working Time has done but i hope they will keep pushing the boundaries and add features. Among all the civilian flight simulators on the market now, MSFS definitely gives you the best value for money, if you are buying the most basic version. And not only does MSFS give you the most value for money, but when you start buying add-ons from 3rd party developers, the add-ons in MSFS are cheaper than the add-ons in the other civilian simulators too. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
October 2, 20241 yr Absolutely. This genre has waited for decades for a developer to finally realize that no, it isn't fair for users to have to pay hundreds of dollars to have avionics that are more than barely usable in a flight simulator. Are ALL the avionics perfect? no. But looking at the full picture, they're light years ahead of anything offered by default not only on current competing sims, but in the whole history of home flight simulation. October 2, 20241 yr WT for me is one of the best things that has happened to the simulation in a long time without doubt.

Speaking of these, folders for the Epic 2 and UNS1 showed up in yesterday's patch 🤔 They're not mentioned in the changelog, weird. Edited October 2, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

It seems like an odd omission - I can live without it, but it feels like something that should be there. I’m sure they’ll come up with some solution soon. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

TBH, it's the best value for money regardless of Edition. If I were to tell you the amount of money I've given to Orbx and the like, along with ho-hum aircraft addon developers just to get a literal fraction of the quality and same stuff as comes packed in to even Premium Deluxe / Aviator, well...

October 2, 20241 yr There is also the Pro Line 21 avionics in the C90 GTX, but I guess that is made by Carenado. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
