EDIT MiniFCU seems to work the the A320 profile, at least I can dial the numbers. Thrustmaster throttle needed some quick editing, made a copy of my  A320 profile and then added throttles 3 and 4

Hey Dad, hi Community, how did you get this to work? MiniFCU doesn’t show anything in my setup. Do I have to copy the A320 profile? Or do I need the new software from miniCockpit? Thanks in advance for your help! Kai

  • I would say with a high margin of safety that this is the biggest community achievement in the history of Flight Simulation as a whole, and not even by a small margin.

  • click spot to disable the cabin. I found it helped a bit with VRAM performance

  • So far I am mind blown. It seems to be much better than I've expected. I still need to do a full flight on it, but just playing a bit with the avionics I can see that a lot of effort has been put into

well. I am using Mobiflight, sorry if I missed that. just loaded the FBW A320 profile into Mobiflight and then linked it to the 380. all fine

It’s distracting in real life too when you’re looking through the windshield and can see reflections in it.

Looks bang on how it does IRL.

I bet they'd disable IRL if they could 😄

I was hoping that they would do the A350 than this.

Well, now it is even more obvious how below standards the jetway system of MSFS is, allowing only a single jetway per plane. Hopefully this limitation will be gone in MSFS (dream on...) or at least fixable by 3rd party like GSX.

Asobo have said multi-jetways may come post-launch in 2024.

It's also hard to believe that this isn't an easy fix on ASOBO's side. I can't imagine it taken it longer than a day to implement and get working properly.

You're not an Asobo dev, so you have no idea what you're talking about.

Anyone having trouble getting GSX to work with this bird?  I've seen a handful of videos showing no issues with others using it so I'm sure the problem is on my end.  When I try to launch it in sim it just hangs there and does nothing.  Doesn't attach the jetway, cant call for fuel or catering, nothing.  Can anyone give me an idea of where to look for a solution?

Is it just me or is this bird very heavy on VRAM? Also in 4k?

Not for 2020 unfortunately. I’m not starting fresh buying airports again for 2024 until at least 2026

Climb performance needs some work. I took off near MTOW and it climbed straight to 34,000 feet at 3500 fpm. There is no way the real A380 would be this ridiculously overpowered.

Looking at the FBW discord, it seems the devs are already aware of this.

I just use V/S mode. Makes it a bit more realistic until it is fixed by FBW.

Daniel

Just did my first test flght from OMDB to HECA, man what a crappy landing this was -703 fpm, anyways I did notice the plane is heavy on performance and there's a lot of stutters, also the climb rate as others mentioned needs to be fixed. I'm pretty sure it will get better and better, not bad for an Alpha release.

Anyone with FPS and/or RAM issues, try disabling simbridge. While you will use terrain display capabilities, the performance increase appears to be significant.

What else do you lose by disabling it?

Nothing, except the terrain feature. I'm testing it out right now on a flight from Frankfurt to New York and so far no issues whatsoever. Plus, if there ever should be any unintended consequences we can simply turn it back on 👍.

Nice find!

Currently parked at KSEA 8pm Nov 1st 2024 with the FBW A380 powered up, and AIG/FSLTL models combined using default AI live traffic, and multiplayer on. Absolute chaos with the amount of AI and multiplayer ACs. I'm managing 60FPS with nvidia frame gen mod (not lossless scaling) for my 3090ti FTW3, 64gb of DDR5 at 5600mhz and a 14900K (no overclock) at native 4k, TAA, no scaling no DLSS no nonsense.

With the 3090ti having 24gb of gddr6, that clickspot does nothing lol. But I'm sure it will help those with less VRAM at their disposal. I'll say it again, I'm glad I didn't "upgrade"  to a 4070ti. 21.5 of 24gb of GDDR6 being used as we speak.

On another note.

Did you guys know that the pilot windows actually open?

Move your camera view so you can see behind the EFB. You will see the release handle with a lime green button above it. Simply click the button. It will open while AC is parked, but not during flight. Nice touch by the FBW team!
