They could have just added the sharklets to the 3d model without touching anything else, no one could tell the difference if they updated flight model or not. Though by placebo effect people would say they feel the difference.

It's a completely different wing

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I'm amazed how they were denied access to the developer alpha version.

What are Microsoft/Asobo thinking doing this to a significant developer?

Apparently only developers from the Marketplace have access to the development alpha..... I was complaining about it in another threat...

No. It is not.

The only objective discriminating factor was marketplace presence.

Ultimately, if they start making exceptions based on quality (or perceived quality, because then other developers with high opinions of their work would feel slighted) where do they draw the line?

Who decides the quality threshold? Who decides how many above that threshold should be included? And especially, who tells the others that they're not considered good enough?

Who decides who is "significant" and who isn't?

What you're advocating is called favoritism.

AFAIK no devs outside of the marketplace have access.

WOW Super Cool....I thought it would be before Christmas but I was certainly not expecting it this week.  The news certainly brightens my spirit on this tense election day!

I hope soon we get an announcement on a Fenix A320 Series NEO.

They think that they are not a marketplace developer, and as such not invited to the Dev Alpha. Which is completely fair.

Then you haven’t been paying attention. This is what Asobo does.

BeyondATC among others have.

There's no confirmation the BeyondATC team themselves were given access outside of the Marketplace.

Maybe they know someone who has access, or one of their devs has a marketplace addon.

What would we do without these guys.

Another living, Flightsimulator is only a simulation game - live is the other thing and should be more important ! 😊

cheers 😉

This is the sort of thing I love about MSFS. I'm really looking forward to 2024, because I genuinely hope stuff like the famous pebbles and the new trees and similar are going to transform the close-up appearance of the environment. Throw in the whole "walking around" thing, and possibly the flight planning, and this sim continues to feel like it was designed just for little 'ole me.

By comparison, I read this thread and just think "meh, pointy bits for the wings. Whatever . . " and yet I can see other folk do get excited about such stuff. This really is one h*ll of an amazing environment we've got here these days, and it only looks like it'll keep getting better.

(and I do have the full Fenix set, so I guess I'll be getting pointy wings too <grin>)
