Probably better for me to say who I DONT buy from 😁 Aerosoft. Captain Sim.

  • Excluding freeware, because the OP mentioned payware aircraft only - otherwise the FBW 320 would be among the most used... 3 aircraft from: PMDG 2 aircraft from: ASOBO, CARENADO, FLYINSIDE,

  • Don't be surprised, it has probably been that way for most of us since the old days of P3D. In those days, most of my fleet were Carenado, like the Shrike, the B1900D, the Shorts, and many others. The

PMDG the most for sure. Also:

Fenix, Leonardo, TFDI, IFly, Just Flight, and even Aerosoft. I know, I’m a sucker. 😁

Cheers, Pete

For just MSFS?  Carenado hehe.

Black square would be 2nd.  But obviously C made a lot more addons.

PMDG and Just Flight, simply because they have a lot of aircraft each.

Seems my purchases were evenly spread out, so the 7-8 planes I own are each from a different developer.

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

The most in MSFS2020 ? All five warbirds by Flying Iron, and five by Just Flight ( non-turbo Arrow 3, BAe Hawk, Piper Tomahawk, BAe146 and Vulcan ).

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Now that I think of it, I'm surprised to realize that Flying Iron Simulations is by far my most purchased dev, even tho they are by far my least flown add-ons!

A similar story with MilViz/BlackBird.

In contrast, my most flown add-ons are the FSR500, A2A Comanche, the PMDG BBJ1, and the CowanSim B206.

the helis, all of them, used and left over due to the poor flight dynamics 😕 - a waste of time and money IMO... Looking forward for how 2024 does the rotaries...

Regarding gliders and helicopters, I strongly believe, although I would like to be proven wrong, MSFS 2024 will not be my option... Rather use Condorsoaring for the soaring and DCS World for the helicopters...

I had sworn off MSFS helis due to poor handling, but recently I decided to take another look. I discovered that re-binding them to my HOTAS using the dedicated helicopter bindings in MSFS made all the difference in the world.

Where they were well nigh uncontrollable before, they are genuinely pleasant to fly now.

But I still prefer the DCSW ones - there's just more to do there 😉

Apparently, according to my spreadsheet I've bought over 180 aircraft for MSFS (wot me OCD?) So I've probably got a few from pretty much every vendor (including Captain Sim, who I notice nobody else has mentioned <grin>)

And I suspect that will continue through MSFS2024, 2028, 2032 or whenever I pop my clogs.

And I can easily still think of a couple of dozen that I'd buy immediately if they were released for MSFS (funds permitting, of course)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

'Funds permitting' and 'MSFS' have never been together in any sentence I have written. 😁

Just Flight's stable (Just Flight and Blacksquare) and PMDG  (due to the numerous 737 variations).

i7-8700K @4.8GHz - 32Gb @3200  - ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero - EVGA RTX3090 - 3840x2160 Res - KBSim Gunfighter - Thrustmaster Warthog dual throttles - Crosswind V3 pedals

MSFS 2020, DCS

Kind of off topic but I'm still waiting for Lancair Legacy for G.A. flying as I would pay PMDG level for Black Square level systems on that favorite bird of mine from FSX.
