Walk around mode, how to move faster?

Only when you're wearing a parachute.🙃

I really hope that will be an update at some point.
Career mode as jump pilot, and letting other players jump out and hurdle towards the ground, and then have the option to pull the chute and control it. Aim for a marker or something.
It would be a blast in VR. 🤣

I would pay for a skydiving and hang gliding DLC. I know how many here aren't fans of "games", but I have fond memories of playing Pilot Wings on Super Nintendo as a kid, and with the physics in MSFS they could probably do something pretty realistic!

Many of us have been there, done that, innumerable times!  What I don't like is having the sim start and bruise my nose with the aircraft I have selected.  Walk arounds are done when you have strolled from the car to the flight ops, completed any pre-flight planning and flight filing not done before leaving for the field, and then strolling out to the plane to start the walkaround.

This starting with the plane literally touching your nose and in-your-face is ridiculous, and embarrassing.  It cracked a lens on the left side of my sunglasses yesterday.  🥸

How did you solve this aircraft appearing in your face?? -Most annoying and I can't solve it

Shift+c takes you in or out of the aiplane if you cant find the clickspot….

Hi,

Every time I try to do the outside check the screen freezes when I aim with the mouse, and I have to exit the sim with CNRTL+Alt+Del.

A disaster!

I think it would be convenient to have a shortcut where the option of checking the exterior of the plane could be done from the checklist.

In the meantime, I have no other option than to start the flight from the runway.

If using an Xbox Controller to walk around it's the Right Trigger held down that makes you run, what I can't figure out is how to click the check points for covers, chocks, doors etc in VR.🤔

not for me it doesn't! - do we have to set that up on the Keyboard - where is the

clickspot? -- as Fppilot said - my nose is up against the A/C

Using the menu - the camera selections dont work either

There is a keybind for run but I tried setting it but it didn't seem to do anything.

Same here. Its called "Toggle run" but it doesn't do anything.

Try "Set Run". That worked for me. You have to keep the button pushed while running, though.

Nope. Once you are airborne, you cannot exit the aircraft.

But you can exit while the aircraft is moving on the ground and the aircraft can take off with you on the ground. I believe this will be fixed in the next updates.

God, I hope not. That is so cool.

Going to try it before it disappears.

if you've ever actually flown planes irl then you'd know that's a silly statement as you absolutely need to be able to walk fast when outside the cockpit. when checking the oil and you get it all over your hands and you have to run to get a fresh towel before it gets all over your clothes. or the fuel truck is driving by and you have to chase after it because the driver refuses to look over at you. or ATC made you go around 3 times in a row and your bladder is about to burst so you have to book it to the side of the hangar as soon as you land or else you'll explode.

those are only a few reasons you'd need to move at a slightly higher-than-average pace while outside the cockpit 😉

I have my PPL and owned and flew a Cherokee 180 for many years, when I changed oil I had a toolbox and whatever I needed in my hanger, I NEVER needed to run, at my airport you taxi to the pump, no truck 🙂

This argument is pointless anyway....
