Version 2.13 has been released.

40% reduction in x2 mode is a major improvement. Cancelling my RTX5090 order right now 😉

2.13 released | 3.0 beta
Happy anniversary, LSFG!

LSFG 3 is built on a new, efficient architecture that introduces significant improvements in quality, performance, and latency.

Key improvements include:
Reduced flickering and border artifacts, with noticeable enhancements in motion clarity and overall smoothness.

Lower GPU load:
A 40% reduction for X2 mode compared to LSFG 2 (non-performance mode). Over 45% reduction for multipliers above X2 compared to LSFG 2 (non-performance mode).
The "Resolution Scale" feature remains an excellent way to further reduce GPU load. For instance, setting it to 90% roughly aligns with the LSFG 2 "Performance" mode.

Better latency:
Latency testing with the OSLTT tool (at 40 base FPS, X2) shows approximately 24% better end-to-end latency compared to LSFG 2.

Ive been waiting on this since seeing the announcement recently.  Sounds good that there is a reduction in demand on the gpu as it was pushing me over my vram limits on my 3080ti with MSFS 2024.  Worked fine in DirectX11 in 2020

Less artifacts will also be good.  Always got weird ghosting at night of airport lights and stars

  • Yes it works equally as well in MSFS2024. My usage is: 1/2 vsync in sim doubled to 60fps by Lossless Scaling. 60hz desktop.

For me (2 monitor setup) sometimes the mouse pointer disappears but changing between monitors brings it back.

in other Cases the sim screen freezes. Sim still works, also the preview in the taskbar is not frozen. I then have to stop LS and the sim screen works again

That is what I do, but not so much fun when it happens as you are landing.

Ive just finished work so will give it a go.  I was using the FSR mod, which was working well.

I continue to freeze... works fine then dies. Can someone post their settings that work? Like cursor clip, vsync, monitor rez vs msfs rez? Thanks

I’m still on the fence about this as I’m getting ok frames with high settings of default, but who wouldn’t like more frames.

My problem is it only works with windowed mode, right? I can’t seem to get windowed mode to show without the border / window. I tried alt-tabbing to the window to get rid of the border but that just changes it to fullscreen mode in 2024’s settings.

I think Autofps is better - cant put my finger on it just very happy I have it 🙂

I love auto fps ,works great!

Lossless works very well when it does. But i get too many freezes.

This is interesting. I’m using P3Dv5 and have had a couple of apparent freezes, the latest one yesterday using the latest version.

But I run a moving map on a networked PC and my aircraft was still moving on that display. I toggled LS off and back on and the sim unfroze.

So it’s a strange problem. It might be worth giving feedback on this app which works with many games. For info, my monitor is set at 60Hz, 20fps set in Nvidia with a x3 multiplier.

After testing Lossless Scaling last night I quickly was reminded on why I stopped using it before....the native performance drop before the Frame Generation kicks in.

For example if I lock my frame rate to say 40 in Rivatuner and run Lossless Scaling, even on 2x, the fps overlay will then show my native fps as 30-35 then 60-70 with FG.  The result is it is not as smooth with TrackIR.  I also see ghosting on buildings when I look around.  It all gets worse in more detailed areas.  In contrast I can run the old DLSSG to FSR dll mod and easily get the smoothest 75 fps in most locations - zero performance borrowed when its enabled.  Frame rate locked to 75 in Rivatuner.  This is also when running FSLTL.  MSFS2024 by the way

What would be more interesting to me is the question if the last update not only reduced the performance load, but also the VRAM consumption of LS? Because for me, this is the main showstopper of LS...

I read that you have to have a minimum of 30FPS. Sometimes flying in a big city with the 777, I drop down to around 26 fps for a few minutes, does this mean you can't use this program?

No. When I have a vsync cap of 33% monitor refresh rate (FS internal) = 25 FPS @75Hz LS at 3x gives a rock-solid, smooth output of 75 fps (e.g. over KLAX or around Manhattan) @4k with an 3060Ti. No need for a new energy wolverine on my side... This is on FS 24, but the results should be excelllent on FS20 also. Didn't test the new version on FS20...
