Nobody remembers all the "FUN" came with each new version of Prepar3D...? What were the problems with each release of Prepar3D? as far as I can remember, it was just waiting for the compatibility of some addons... I don't remember any P3D release having a DISASTER like the one we're seeing with ‘2024’. 13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber - MSFS 2024

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crashes from left to right. And those waffle clouds (repated patterns). AMD users had a particular tough time. It was basically unplayable for many users without the subsequent hotfixes. Edit : Here we go, so it feels like groundhog day reading those comments https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/574744-p3d-v5-in-beta/#comments and here https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/573819-p3dv5-hf-next-week/ Interesting quote: Quote LM did not give beta testers opportunity to review the release version and testers had also voiced objection to LM considering the number of issues in previous versions of the beta. LM obviously had internal release timeframes they needed to meet for whatever reason. December 3, 20241 yr OK, v5 had SOME problems, but nothing comparable to ‘this’ 🙄 PS: and even so, I don't forgive LM's lack of support to solve the problems that still affect v5. But that's a subject for another thread and I now use another platform... Now going from v3 to v4 was a big step up moving from 32 bit to 64 compatible. Edited December 3, 20241 yr by JBDB-MD80

December 3, 20241 yr This as an example: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/request-for-the-unencryption-and-full-downloadability-of-default-aircraft-in-msfs-2024/667001/1 How can the yaysayers in this forum not SEE how totally borked this sim is, not only in regard of bugs, but also in most other aspects. Are people really that basic that some successful simple A to B flights with default plane and livery is sufficient for them to justify all this word not allowed? Well, then I see no hope for this flightsimming community... really, really hope that the Dec. 9 patch will clear some things up. Or already tomorrows dev stream. The whole world's coastlines, rivers and lakes were upgraded hugely making 3rd party products like UTX Europe, North America and Caribbean redundant. Enhanced Atmospherics makes a big difference too. And further refining core optimisation to spread the load. Quite a bit more than "lipstick on ESP code" I would say. Ray (Cheshire, England). December 3, 20241 yr I am thinking of trying MSFS 2024 via game pass option - I was going wait for some time originally but it seems a lot of people are saying that sim now runs a bit better then what it was when it was released. There are still issues with it - but I want to give it a try myself to see differences between the two but also to ensure my current system is compatible with it. I am getting a new PC custom build for 2024 version but it will take some time to get my hands on it. How does game pass work? I am assuming I'll have to install it via MS Store rather then Steam which is what I am used to. Edited December 3, 20241 yr by CAP1234
