  • I love the progress. Keep in mind it's only half a year old. They've come a long way since the beginning

  • I can vouch for the BATC traffic, it's nice. It can use FSLTL, AIG and FSTraffic models if you have any of them installed.

Yes, it all has pros and cons. At the same time - if you're at an airport scenery that does not reflect real life (try KORD and report back) you will see aircraft taxi in the grass where taxiways have

Did it freeze your entire PC and force you to reboot, or did it only cause BATC to crash? For me, BATC with traffic freezes my entire PC when using the iFly 737 MAX and iniBuilds KLAX.

Can someone help me finding the way to install AIG liveries / 3d models **only** having an install of FS 2024 (no FS 2020 and would not reinstall it just for that purpose...).

I've read that porting the FS 2020 install works, but I don't have FS 2020.

Might also try it with FSLTL, but I've read it is more problematic as of now in FS 2024 (?)

freeze pc but i didnt need restart once the app and sim crashed  so yes look different problem , only happen in klax? other airports is fine?

I've been thinking of obtaining this. I fly often on VATSIM, but it would be nice to have something for parts of the flight without control.

Otherweise I fly in Career, which is controlled by the sim anyway.

I am only worried about running costs if using the premium voices. Is that an issue?

And then, there is FSHub... no idea what is better.

I've tried Premium voices once and still have most of my initial purchase credits left. The Basic voices are very good for the most part.

@Simon_C I'd completely agree with Speedbird - free voices are very good. There is a switch in the program to turn off the more "exotic" accents which could be hard to understand (at least in the earlier versions, not tried turning them back on since).

I think that's not possible in this case. You need at least to "fake" a MSFS2020 installation (don't ask me how) in order to install either AIG or FSLTL.
I guess you have to wait until one of those becomes officially compatible with 2024 (shouldn't be too long)

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I recommend you try again and give it another shot. To me a lot of the more exotic ones have become much easier to understand. You still get the occasional one that is hard to decipher but I did a bit of flying basing myself in Asia recently and it was much easier to understand the accents than in the early days. It's not 100% perfect and sometimes you still get a voice that sounds like gibberish. Europe was also much better the last few times I heard French, Italian, German or Spanish accents.

One thing about  FSLTL: you can install it directly into MSFS2024, I believe, just point the installer to the correct dir, Community of MSFS2024. And you can also change the install dir. What the difference is, don't ask me.

Finally, I just move folders if needed, and add them to sim using Addons Linker.

Not sure, but I think aircraft will all be compatible, what is not, is the injector I believe, using that crashed the sim multiple times. Not sure however, whether it's the injector itself or the models.

Can someone ask the dev if BATC has or will have MSFS 2024 Flight Planner support? I only ask because as most know, navdata at simbrief is out of date without a subscription and this can sometimes cause problems with some flight plans.

If anyone knows how to use the new 2024 flight planner with BATC, please share how you do it here.

Lastly, is a Navigraph navdata subscription required, or can flights be conducted with the expired simbrief nabdata?

Thanks.

It doesn't require a Navigraph subscription for anything. It reads your Simbrief flight plan, so whatever AIRAC you have active there for your flightplan just feeds through but won't have any bearing on the usability of BATC. I can't comment on the MSFS24 Flight Planner question.

All I have ever used is basic voices, they sound fine.

Honestly? Since I bought BATC (I've had it since day 1) I've never used the Premium voices because the basic voices sound good enough to me. I still have 50k characters.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D,

MSI RTX 5090,

64GB RAM 6000MHz DDR5,

Tuf Gaming X870Plus, 1200W PSU

English is not my first language.

I enjoy the premium voices.  With the release of AI traffic I’ll try leaving myself and ATC as premium and all traffic as basic and see how fast I run through my credits given that ATC will be saying a lot more now.  If it ends up driving up my costs too much then I’ll switch to all basic, they get the job done and are still miles ahead of default ATC voices.

A question for those who have already been using traffic, it’s suggested to use traffic level 5, however real world traffic levels are 10.  Is BATC able to generally handle traffic at 10 or is it best left at the recommended 5?
