December 22, 20241 yr I personally use basic when in UK/Canada/US/AUS/NZ then switch to premium outside of that. non-english ATC sounds a lot better with premium Edited December 22, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

If you want the Premium voices, you have to purchase the additional characters once you use up what you get initially. I use the Premium voice for the Controller and Basic for the traffic (although it will still use the Premium voices for controller so I ran my characters down quick!). So, Basic not extra cost. if you want premium voices, once the characters are used up, you must buy more (Premium), but with the basic there is no replenshing voices. so it stays free with the basic voices. Just making sure on the options. Thank you Ed Windows 11 PRO-AMD RYZEN 9 9950X3D-MSI MAG X870E TOMAHAWK-NVIDIA RTX 5080 16GB-64GB GSKILL 6000-2TB NVMe-1050PSU- It goes to Eleven! Si ATC. December 22, 20241 yr I guess I have Premium in atc and Basic on the controller. I never purchased additional voices, but last night, on a short hop in the Fenix 320 from Faro to Lisboa, I got many pilot's talking that characteristic "Portenglish" that I listen to on the radio IRL 🙂 Incredible! Was also the first time I used BATC with FSLTL, and WOW !!! I hadn't used FSLTL since I dropped FS 2020 months ago. I used it with FSHUD. I'me really glad with the overall performance, and my rig is "just" what you can read in my signature - 8 Gb VRAM and 32 GB RAM !!! Also VFR coming !!! December 22, 20241 yr Very cool! But I guess it's not something a button user like me will benefit from. I do wish they'd work on some better button control implementation. It's very basic right now.

However I use also a tablet interface via AxisAndOHs Its usable with just buttons without speaking very good, Also without the tablet solution. But I think I will change maybe to speaking when the new LLM arrives ... we will see. December 22, 20241 yr As MSFS users, we are very lucky to have some of the best 3rd party add-ons being developed for a flight sim. In this case, BeyondATC is an MSFS exclusive at the moment. Now the BeyondATC team could decide to expand to support the other competing flight simulators, but at the moment, they aren't doing so. Which leaves BeyondATC an MSFS only add-on for the time being. New add-ons like BeyondATC, FBW A380, etc, are possible because MSFS has so many 3rd party developers making add-ons for it. I've said it before and I will say it again, moving forward, the overwhelming new top tier 3rd party add-ons will be for MSFS. Yes, the other competing civilian flight simulators may get some new top tier add-ons in the future, but not near as many that MSFS will get, because of the sheer size of the 3rd party developers working on MSFS (I want to emphasize "new" though, because even P3D has a lot of top tier add-ons, but they are very few new top tier add-ons coming to P3D in the future). This is a great time to be an MSFS user, we keep getting more and more new AAA add-ons. Edited December 22, 20241 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I'm just in the process of swapping from AAO to Spad so would love to hear that there's a SPAD or generic BeyondATC solution to accessing the program via webapi! Flying in Europe has never been more fun with all these characteristic accents... Spanish, Italian, French, German, etc. 😀 and of course the occasional native speaker from Great Britain or the United States. The immersion from that is absolutely mind blowing.

December 22, 20241 yr That's really cool, I think that is going to be the perfect mix between the the current options in terms of AI model, doesn't have the canned rigidity of current BATC / FSHud but doesn't just let go like SI which leads to some odd interactions and being able to say some rubbish.
