It's comical, I literally just watched Best Buy update all of the 5090's from coming soon to sold out within 3 minutes without even seeing an option to buy...   What a joke  I guess my $3500 estimate earlier was way off LOL.   Seriously?  Almost 5-$7,000????  offensive initials not allowed

This is both comical and ridiculous! $4,875?! This is worse than the 4090 release 2+ years ago. I guess I'm not surprised, I just didn't expect it to be this bad.

Long gone are the days when we could buy a GPU at MSRP on launch day.

BTW just downloaded DLSS swapper for the first time and it installs a nvngx_dlss.dll.dlsss file along with the other files, is that normal? I never seen a .dlsss file before?

My content folder shows:

nvngx_dlss.dll
nvngx_dlss.dll.dlsss
nvngx_dlssg.dll
nvngx_dlssg.dll.dlsss

Is this what everyone else has when using DLSS Swapper?

Have you tried to just install the new driver and doing everything via the nvidia app? It was supposed to work with the release of the new driver today. I haven't tried it myself as I'm stuck in a... never mind.

The only two relevant files are nvngx_dlss.dll and nvngx_dlssg.dll. Not sure what those other files are.

If anyone want to use the new DLSS file with preset K in all games
Just use nvidia profile inspector (Latest version) and put the DLSS presets to 0x00FFFFF and in the Other section put Enable DLSS-SR override to 0x0000001
that's basically what nvidia app do in specific game put we apply it in the global profile.
if the dll file not updated automatically in the future we can easily go to
"C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX\models\dlss\versions" and create a new version for the DLL and instead of the old generic number E658703 it will be app_E658700 and change the DLL version in the nvngx_config.txt for app_E658700 as normal with the latest DLL file version

Working  for me in MSFS 2024. Also I notice it now says: v310.2.1 instead of v310.1.0

I have been following both threads and my plan of action is to:

Install Sniper Resistance

Play Sniper Resistance

Relieve virtual frustration blowing things up

Circle back on all of this tomorrow once the smart people have figured it all out and I am virtually frustrated from being repeatedly killed as a Sniper LOL

Have a Wonderful Day

I am on MS2020 with a 4090 card. Can one just d/l the latest version of the NVIDIA app to install the latest driver and get DLSS4 installed or has the app fallen out of favor since yesterday?

I did but MSFS 2020 does not completely load it hangs about 80% thru the initialization.  I guess the NV Inspector thing has to be done to make this work?  I have to think that must be a temporary fix.

Same for me - MSFS 2020 crashing during loading now with the new DLSS4!

Can you do this without the NV App ?

I use GF Experience with multiple Freestyle filters and do not want to loose them.

Yeah, too much fiddling with this driver, for marginal gains at best. Just roll back and wait for something more complete, or just run TAA in the meantime.

Just got confirmation from the DLSS_Swapper Reddit thread about this:

".dlsss" is short for ".dlss swapper" these are the original DLLs that we overwrite. When we revert the DLLs we delete the .dll and rename .dll.dlsss back to .dll

For those that don’t have/ don’t want to use new nvidia APP or whereby new nvidia app has everything greyed out:-

I downloaded the latest Nvidia Profile Inspector (version 2.4.0.8) from GitHub.
https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/download/2.4.0.8/nvidiaProfileInspector.zip

I ran Nvidia Profile Inspector as an administrator and, in the Global Profile, set 0x00000001 for the following settings:

Enable DLSS-FG override

Enable DLSS-SR override

Enable DLSS-RR override

set 0x00FFFFFF for the following settings:

Override DLSS-RR preset

Override DLSS-SR presets

I clicked Apply changes in the top right corner to confirm the changes.

This is all that you need to do! No need to swap or download any dll files or mess around with any profiles or anything else. It’s simple!

Interestingly, while I have the "Override DLSS-RR preset" option, I do not have the second one cited above. I wonder why...
