  • Need a Black Square overhaul on this plane. GTN750/KLN90 options and all the under the hood wear and tear items. We need a great study level/system rich float/ski/land plane and this one looks like a

  • For 2020 too. Nice!

I bet it wont have the G100NXi.  Probably a old time avionics package.

Sweet, I've got a few hundred IRL float hours on one of those!

Best seaplane Cessna ever made.

Yup, the trailer shows a classic "six-pack" panel with a GNS 530. Floats, skis, and wheels. Looks visually very attractive, as is to be expected from Carenado -- we'll have to see how it flies and behaves otherwise when it arrives in a few days.

For 2020 too. Nice!

MSFS

Very interesting. Wonder if it will include an updated avionics. It would be nice, could even be a mod for it.

I'm almost a bit disappointed this is a Microsoft Carenado release. (But free is free, so never look a gift horse in the mouth).

A full Carenado release would have probably included additional panel options (I have never been a fan of the cream panels), and their tablet letting you use the GTN 750 units in addition to the 430 or 530.

Free!

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Just took a look on Controller.com for Cessna 185F listings - lowest price for wheeled, 10,000+ hour airframe: $170,000.00...OOF, and prices up over $400K for some. So much for that idea.

Somewhere around 2005 or 2006 my brother and I were considering a 1980 Beech A36 for a bit over $100,000. Had a cherry interior and decent panel with G530, new paint, and don't remember engine hours, but it was a 10,000 hour airframe. Beautiful airplane that flew like a dream and with 4 adult men absolutely launched off the runway. Lot of airplane for 100K but the hours scared us off. I can't imagine 400K+ for a 185F unless it was for a business that could haul folks or cargo for $$$$.

well I remember my instructor checking me out in one  &  he said "there are only two types of pilot who fly the 185 - them's that have ground looped it & them's that are gonna ground loop it" - wise words - unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't get enough hours on one to either prove or disprove his theory!!
