Before the latest update, auto-frequency change with BATC didn't work properly. Has this been resolved? (I haven't tried the A350 since the update).

no its still the same as before - and acknowledged on their discord as not fixed.

I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

It was hit and miss on my flight this morning. It randomly done it for around 20 minutes.

Yeah, it seems to just ignore the command randomly. Because if I spam the frequency button in BATC enough it eventually changes.

If anyone is suffering with WASM crashes in the A350 I would suggest try flying with the TCAS completely switched off. I suspect many of the crashes are being caused by the same issue that has plagued PMDG, and indeed happened to me a few times in the 737 in 2020 until I just left TCAS turned off. If I recall correctly PMDG last year suggested the crash was due to Simconnect becoming overwhelmed (can't seem to find the thread currently), but it may be worth a try until Asobo can hopefully fix this issue once and for all.

But tell me.... what's up with the sports-car-taxiing? It's so direct, as I were driving a Mario-Kart...

it's not good, it makes for really squirelly takeoff rolls where the nose darts left and right unrealistically

there was an arrogantly dismissive "people can just change their sensitivities" when this was pointed out early days, but it seems the nose steering has no dampened, smooth transition from the videos i've see, like what you see in FBW and Fenix where there is a gradual turn of the nose

thanks to whoever posted the nose gear video, it seems there is suspension modelled, i cannot comment on whether what we see is realistic for the a350 - and for me, the animation is less important than whether there is realistic soft suspension generally

harder to replicate, but not sure the main gear reacts in the same way - if the person who did has time, i'd be really grateful if you could set up for landing then switch to spot view and let it fall for a hard landing, to see if the fuselage realistically compresses down and springs back up to settle on the gear, don't worry about animation, i've given up on that! 😄

Haha I'll see if I can make a quick landing video.

I tried the Fenix A321 yesterday, and did the same hard braking on the taxiway like with the A350-video. Huge difference! The nose gear compresses as it should (as far as I can tell), and from the cockpit it's also obvious that the nose lowers significantly. And with the Fenix still being in some sort of experimental state - it most likely doesn't have the MSFS2024 ground physics implemented.

So you believe in MSFS word. LOL we will see when with Navigraph results come back and when the actual simmers vote tell the truth and most main stream simmers have already parked Career gaming mode just like the casual gamers will soon and move on the next game release.

its will be fudging of stats and word salads again.

Like when FSL once said they had "1000s of happy customers" because they had sold over a 1000 units of their product. Does it mean everyone who bought their product is a "happy customer" no of course not, but that was their logic, although very flawed and very inaccurate.

I don't think having decent suspension animation and feel is too much to ask. One would assume this falls in the obviously included category so if its wrong or missing it needs to be addressed.

There is no such thing as a truly unbiased reviewer but I think it is in very poor taste to sit there and accuse people like V1 or A330 Driver of being maliciously biased.

FD2S for instance, has said that he sees no difference between the 2020 and 2024 FM and while I vehemently disagree with him, I would never level such an accusation at him. We need to stop this nonsense when we hear people expressing opinions that do not match what we want to hear.

I just checked how it looks and feels on Fenix, again. This time observing specifically what I was looking for on A350.

And yes, suspension animation on braking is like 1000:1. On Fenix it's looking totally realistic, with progressive suspension depending how much and how strong you brake, in sync with braking and gear not doing funny stuff hopping off the ground. Also there is a smooth gear movement and what I hold for realistic, is that tiller turning and gear cannot be fully in sync. There are hydraulics in place, and all that machinery in between surely must have time to adapt to pilots movements of the tiller. In any case, except if it was a direct control, I have never seen as fast movement as on inibuilds A350.

A350... terrible. Gear hopping, barely any animation when normal braking. If you do full braking, there is some animation. If you do normal braking, almost no visible animation.

Here's a video doing some touch 'n go's at LFBO Toulouse Blagnac using the exterior view for the landings. The first landing is an autoland. In the second one, I did my best to do a hard landing. I don't see much compression of the nose and main gear - it even looks like the main gear is "digging" into the runway a bit.

Excellent work with these test videos. Something is definitely amiss here. Has anyone from iniBuilds commented on this?

Cpt,

Is that video in MSFS2020 or MSFS2024?

I have to say the airport scenery likes VERY lifelike...hard to tell whether it's a sim or IRL.

Ok iniBuilds just confirmed to me that the issue is logged and will be sorted out. This is definitely not a sim limitation.
