Here is the key difference. When someone posts how much they are enjoying 2024 nobody goes out of their way to rain on their parade. If they are enjoying 2024, good for them! But if anyone posts how much they are not enjoying 2024, you make a snarky post. Every time. You appear to be offended by anyone not sharing your views on 2024. 

Also, I think Ray lets things play out most of the time, and he isn’t heavy handed about being a mod. He has reminded me a time or two about something i posted, but always respectfully.

Some folks just seem to enjoy attacking others.

Believe it or not I don't read every topic in this section. I have neither the time nor the inclination unlike you who appears to have plenty of time posting your latest diatribe.

I won't be taking you up on your challenge. Believe it or not we're kept pretty busy hiding all the rubbish coming from spammers and approving posts from new members.

We react to reports. If we believe posts break the rules we take appropriate action. All this by unpaid volunteers trying to keep AvSim a decent place to visit. You're not helping.

 

Most of us, including myself, are stuck in their own mindset and therefor should have a really long hard look in the mirror, before judging other's contributions to the forums.

Absolutely.  If the 2024 platform is too restrictive in a few years to do the kinds of advancements they want to do at that time, and keeping in mind they can't keep pumping out enhancements for free, definitely give me a new sim platform. For their sanity's sake, Asobo can perhaps push back on the MS corporate heads about the naming with year in it and demand more freedom to delay the initial release if need be 😅

What we need them to do is focus on what they should be doing from now on, fundamentally that is getting MSFS24 to a much better state than what it currently is, which we both know will probably take a few months yet (at the very least). Therefore any talk of an MSFS28 is...well...completely pointless, as Jorg said himself he's not thinking about that at all now and nor should he after the mess of this release and subsequent time it's going to take him & his team to catch up. I, for one, would not buy that title going on their past and recent history (at this time).

It's been a brilliantly enjoyable experience since 2020, but it's also been a very very rocky road, the next couple of years could be crucial for this franchise.

Well you surely are not in the position to make that choice but if you were who would you have chosen? You seem to have a strong opinion on something that we can't control as a user with no corporate money invested in MSFS. We either take or leave it with MS decisions.

When it dropped, I figured 6 months was a reasonable amount of time to get it working properly. Since we are coming up on month four, I think I may have been too optimistic.

Are you a fortune teller now. Technology advances moves on and I'm glad they incorporated them in 2024. If you enjoy living in the pass, more power to you.

The 2024 controller mapping tool is the BEST!  Please ASOBO don't touch.  🙂

Also, I devoted a whole day to learning MSFS 2024 so please no changes especiallty since performance is so good and flights are excellent.

I just think they were a poor choice at the time going on their lack of flight simulation history prior to MSFS2020s release (they were/are predominantly an xbox gaming company), which has now been backed up by years of terribly poor Quality Control, ignorance towards bugs & issues and far too many regressions going unfixed. But hey that's just my opinion remember 🙂

It's more than  tha history because MSFS 2020 is the COVID sim

I to was expecting at least 6 months to iron out the Teething problems , I have been lucky with 2024 and its running good to compared 2020 when it was 4 months old it was a mess for the first year
