April 2, 20251 yr Just updated to the latest A350 version and performance is through the floor on 2020. It used to be better than the PMDG 777, but it's 10x worse. I'm now getting 14FPS at EGLL when I used to get 25-30. What's gone so horribly wrong? My uneducated guess would be the 6 updates have been predominantly focused on 2024 which would make sense and I can't see them delaying a 2024 patch at the speed they are releasing them even if it had a negative impact on 2020 (if they ar even regression testing both sims) But that is nothing more than a guess, worth less than the ink on the screen it's typed on... April 2, 20251 yr I think a lot of the white noise regarding 2024 needs to be ignored. The 350 works beautifully on that platform - in fact I just completed an 18hr long haul flight and it was seamless. I understand people have their reasons to stay in 2020, and that's fine, but 2024 isn't the ogre the noisy commentators say it is. David Porrett

It works seamlessly on that platform "for some" while others are still getting WASM errors but that's really irrelevant when then thread is about the 350's performance in 2020. There was no "white noise" about 2024 in this thread and no one saying anything about 2024 being an "ogre" in this thread and I'm not sure who the commentators are so I'm not sure what you are talking about. Is your suggestion to the OP to just ignore the "noise" and switch sims because they are having performance issues with a product in 2020 that was sold for use in 2020 but they should move to 2024 because it worked for you in 2024? Is that what I'm reading because that's what it looks like you are saying to me... Edited April 2, 20251 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

I know we won't get wna forums but would it be possible to when creating a new thread to have an 'auto tag' option? I know it's not difficult to add tags but it needs to be mandatory (that's a word we're all familiar with in msfs hehe). A simple radio button option would do it. April 3, 20251 yr Just finished another 6200nm flight in MSFS and the aircraft performs as good as ever. I doubt MSFS2024 has any relation to your issues, they're two separate models, compiled separately. I still don't find any reason to switch to MSFS2024 given the horrible UX/UI experience along with all the other issues and MSFS being as solid as it is, so i'm very happy the A350 behaves so good. April 3, 20251 yr My only issue with this plane (in MSFS2024) is the huge amount of VRAM it "eats up". Other than that? Perfectly fine performance wise. That is why I have big hopes in those VRAM improvements of SU2. I know, it defeats the purpose of having the 2024 version (with all the extra eye candy) but I'm curious. Nope, was not even aware that it exists. I use the performance mode though, is that something different? Performance mode unloads certain elements that are not in view or something like that - no idea what it actually does behind the scenes. The no cabin model can be selected when you choose your livery. I fly with both, no cabin and performance mode, and performance is still worse than Fenix in MSFS2024.
