I rang a pub last week to book a table for lunch. It was answered by a bloody robot. If you want to speak to a human you have to say a particular phrase twice then it transfers you. What a nightmare this world will turn into if bots take over. 😡

But ORBX did good support before. This sounded more like Aerosoft 😁

Jippie, but I am not convinced yet. Camera works fine, but multiple camera images configured on 1 button sometimes go wrong. Something has to be  not right. But that can be fixed. Just don't do that.

Have you updated your graphics driver recently? If you have, its possible it is the new drivers and you can try rolling back.

Got a new answer, a bit angry but at least he read what I wrote this time. So definitely not AI but the last time he just copied a prepared phrase.

Not a single team member here runs the platform you're on, we're simply not equipped to assist, and well it's also no longer in development. However, we understand your concerns as a long-time user.

Regarding the performance issues you're experiencing, particularly after the recent .NET update, it's possible that this could be affecting the advanced features of Chaseplane. One known issue is related to the SlimDX library, which can cause performance problems if the required runtime is not installed. If you encounter any error messages related to SlimDX, installing the SlimDX Runtime .NET 4.0 x86 (January 2012) may help resolve those issues. You can find more information on this in our knowledge base article.

There was no change made to ChasePlane in years, if it stopped working out of the blue, it's very likely something local on your end, not the functionality of the software. We wish you the best of luck finding an active community of FSX/Prepar3D users that can assist, however our support staff cannot any further.

So more than this we will not get i fear. I cannot install another .NET since the installer says everything is already installed. So this hint is useless. Since the program works fine a few seconds, then stalls, means something else is blocking it. AV is already excluded. So no idea, what could be.

Tried to run with 566.14 and was the same then.

That's the one I used before my test with 566.14 and now again. There is no effect to Chaseplane.

I use two workarounds at the moment. For the plane I fly I create left window and right windows presets. The left comes just after the main pilot preset, the right at the very end. So by switching presets, I can easily look to the left and then to the right with a second coolie hat.

The other trick is to assign a button for accelaration. I use the alt button and my speed boost is 8x times normal speed. So when looking around with the primary coolie hat i can speed it up.

If I don't like it this way anymore I go and disable advanced features. 

I still wonder, what sets in after the preset first works like expected and then slows it down. Maybe we find out one day.

This has been me since auto phone answering with menus crawled up from hell a while back. You USED to be able to press O to get a human operator but once  companies figured out customers were doing this as soon as they heard a non human answer some of them disabled it (this is like a counter bell. You walk in shop see noone so ring the bell. These 'people' would have removed the bell and make you wait instead). 

Something that I found often works with ai phone bots (and their devil sister the live chat bot) is to run through all the cuss words you know. This I found out purely by accident as the system of course pushes you rapidly in that mode anyway. Yes, the ai is indeed programmed to detect the customer losing his /her temper and often will then switch directly to a human operator (or more likely a hold queue) after also issuing a warning that abuse to said operator will not be tolerated. Apparently abusing the ai itself is not (yet) a faux pas. 

The first time this happened for me it was quite cathartic. Swearing at a bot rewarding you with speaking to a human? Hell yeh! 

Any company that discontinued support should be required to take that product off the market. I’m tempted to go back and try the default camera views in P3D.

Issue seems to keep appearing when the software is minimized. If actively used I do not experience these movements problems.

 

I've also sent a ticket, but got a bot response immediately, and I don't expect more. What I feel is worse is that they are still selling this version while it seems that it won't work on many computers anymore.

 

EDIT: I've reverted to another windows build, which solved the problem by the looks of it. My last flight was the 16th of March, and 2 updates between then and now. Both were removed, and it's fixed. Windows build: 26100.3476.

I've removed windows update(s): KB5054979, KB5055523, KB5050577 & 5053656. I've looked up a guide to skip these updates as well to not have it happen again.

Let me know if this works for you guys.

I have just started having problems: Preset key for main pilot view disconnects A/P? How on earth is that possible? 

Will try your suggestion and see.

I loved Chaseplane, so easy to setup and use, but they wanted full price for the v6 version (50 squid nearly!) and it wasnt included in the recent spring sale they had.  V. disappointing & theyve lost a customer.
