April 21, 20251 yr I'm on Windows 10 still and I didn't encounter this issue. It seems to be Windows 11 only, no? Casual flyer, mostly in Europe, East-Asia and North America. My specs: i7-10700K, GeForce RTX 3060, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, 4 TB SSDs I fly in: Prepar3Dv5.3

April 21, 20251 yr Pretty scummy of them to sell this product and say it is Legacy with no support. If you look at the sales page for P3Dv6, is does not list it as a legacy product nor include a "no support" disclaimer: https://parallel42.com/products/chaseplane-professional Compared to the P3dv5 and below version that clearly has the disclaimer: This product is sold in its current state. It will not receive further updates or active support from //42. Please ensure compatibility with your sim and note all requirements before purchasing. https://parallel42.com/products/chaseplane-legacy

No support fine, but a dealbreaking bug is something else.
April 21, 20251 yr @iMoveQuick rolling back Windows 11 as you suggested fixed the issue for me. Appreciate your help finding the solution. I figured it had to be a Windows 11 update issue since I hadn't changed anything else on my system. Thanks again Orman

April 22, 20251 yr Uninstall the below windows11 updates from your system. Google how to uninstall windows 11 updates if you’re unsure. I just did it a couple of hours ago but have already forgotten the steps. KB5054979, KB5055523, KB5050577 & KB5053656. Again, I cannot take credit for this. @iMoveQuick is the genius that found the solution. Orman

My last flight was the 16th of March, and 2 updates between then and now. Both were removed, and it's fixed. Windows build: 26100.3476. I've removed windows update(s): KB5054979, KB5055523, KB5050577 & 5053656. I've looked up a guide to skip these updates as well to not have it happen again. Let me know if this works for you guys. I can also confirm this works. Chaseplane is great again. Many thanks to you. For others who want to do it too: The two latter Windows updates only appear after uninstalling the first two. Now Windows wants to reinstall KB5054979, KB5055523. I stopped updates but that's a temporary solution. Will Microsoft fix these updates? Is this already a know issue? I only found KB5055523 is causing BSODs for some users. April 22, 20251 yr Deleting 4679 and5 523 solved the External zoom non functioning (I do not have 3656 listed). staying with Number pad 1 for the Captain's view still causes the A/P to permanently disconnect. For the moment, I have resolved this by remapping the button to Alt + 1 i. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Microsoft and their updates break things all the time, sometimes little things, sometimes large things, the MS devs can surprisingly be real cowboys at times. Caused me no end of issues in the corporate world, not so much our own internal network as we managed MS update rollout via our own update servers, more so for un-knowledgeable customers who would just willy-nilly apply any and all MS updates and pass the blame over to us when problems occurred... always resulted in a challenge to overcome. Looks like KB5055523 is causing many issues, has anyone tried just rolling back this single update ? https://www.ninjaone.com/kb-catalog/kb5055523/ https://www.pcworld.com/article/2733864/aprils-windows-11-update-is-borking-enterprise-pcs-with-crowdstrike.html https://tech.yahoo.com/articles/windows-11-april-causing-installation-145000157.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1U703DohnQ Cheers Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. April 23, 20251 yr I know it's not really much help. EZDOK/EZCA seems to still be up and going/updatd for P3D v6. Works fine for me, except after any major windows updates, I need to run its config installer again. I am not on latest version though, so that might be why.
April 23, 20251 yr I undid the 2 updates that applied to me, that fixed my no zoom with mouse scroll wheel in external views issue. I uninstalled and re-installed ChasePlane. Interesting on the re-install, CP picked up there was an error in P3D which it fixed with a restart of P3D. I am 1 hour into a 7 hour flight and so far, (touch wood), CP is working as before with no issues. The A/P is staying on even if I change views, which it did not before. Hopefully it will stay that way. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. Is that not one of the purposes of W updates to protect from the most recently discovered risk to security? If you are able, without any major flags from Windows able to delete the updates? Hence that I believe that these updates might carry updates to resolve something, but does not pose a full security risk. I believe that on the support page from Microsoft, it also states that you can't delete everything. These would be the critical updates that you can't skip.
