Just saw this posted on FB

"Support Update

We can confirm that there is an issue in City Update 10 with Dallas and Honolulu not having the updated TIN (photogrammetry) data in the current live build of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We are working towards a resolution targeted for tomorrow.

Other TIN cities included in the City Update are displaying properly. Players on Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and participating in the 2024 Sim Update 2 beta are not affected by this issue."

Thank you for the heads-up.  Been spending most of the day troubleshooting this.  I was getting ready to reinstall the sim.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

Sod it, I've spent the last 2 hours trying to work out why Dallas and Hawaii are not showing any photogrammetry. Rebooting, restarting msfs2024, deleting addon scenery, deleting and re enabling CU10, turning PG off and back on, checking bandwidth, delting caches, etc, etc.  Can MS/Asobo not get anything right?  MSFS has been a bloody shambles fron the start and it doesn't seem to get any better.  The number of hours I've spent trying to fix problems that are unfixable because MS/Asobo have screwed up yet again is beyond belief.  As a diehard simmer, I go through the pain lije many of you, but the more casual gamer will have got fed up with this and junked it long ago. Jorg and his team must really start to get their act together as the sim must be coming and embarrassment to them.

The only thing that I like about 2024 is that it loads in a minute. In every other area 2020 is better.

Update: I forgot that I love the installation size. Only 10 GIG.

This was my 1st experience with an update. Not a good start.

You probably need to go back in and uninstall the Asobo KDEN if you use a 3rd party scenery. Same for SFO and DFW

No 3rd party scenery for Denver.

Hello. All the contents are unticked. When ticking all the sceneries, no "enable" options are found, only "disable" instead. Does this mean all the sceneries all enabled by default? Thank you

The updates are quite nice in general, I was disappointed that they have not fixed the night lighting issue at DFW. The lights at the gates are there, but do not illuminate. It is the only 'premium' airport I've seen this issue with. The night light lighting at the premiums is usually pretty good. Certainly better than the complete lack of lighting (except for the parking lots) at the default airports. I still don't understand why they did it that way. If they could automate the parking area lighting, they could've at least put some basic lighting at the gates.

Is CU10 fixed yet?

There's definitely something wrong with MSFS 2024. I still see some blurry textures in Dallas. I don't see a get WU10 in the marketplace. Plus, loading times where much longer at KDFW.

MSFS 2020 went smoothly.

I think generally, photogrammetry is not equal in quality across the board.

Along with this, it seems to take forever to load, at least on my 70Mb connection, not sure how those with ultrafast broadband get on.

For me, it is an immersion killer in its current state

It's inconsistent.  My 150Mb connection is a bit faster, but sometimes it loads quickly, sometimes takes many minutes and sometimes hangs ehilst loading (though I am left waiting as there is no indication it has hanged and still appears to be loading - needs to be shut down in task manager).

The thing that is wrong with this thread - is the rule not to separate 2020 and 2024 in this forum

How the hell can anyone know which sim you are talking about - unless like some - you have said which sim

you are describing?

Looks like its all working now, though I haven't had time to try Denver yet.

So I installed this last night as there was a update onto marketplace, Do we know what is included in this?

I checked out Honolulu and thought the ortho looked good, but the city buildings looked bad.  Most are a dark greenish color as if covered in algae, but the hand made “landmark” buildings are all brightly colored and have some overdone parallax windows.  Nothing blends at all.  The water texture around the Arizona memorial is messed up as well.

I didn't get this City update.  I looked in my Marketplace Library and nothing!  I did see it come up when I was loading MSFS yesterday, but I left my computer for a while when I started MSFS but didn't get back to it for about 5 minutes.  I saw something on the screen about the City Update, but I think it timed out or something.

How can I get this update or maybe check to see if I indeed have it?
