PMDG 777-200ER Released

Featured Replies

Yoke still locked sideways for me in 2024, like the plane is not activated, no idea what the problem is.

Found solution, If you unlink GSX from msfs 2024, it seems to have fixed the problem. Hope noone else runs across this issue.

What an enjoyable experience in 2024. Smooth as butter, everything worked the first load. It's a pretty standard PMDG plane experience, but they did a good job getting it working in 2024. Loaded in, d

Just did my first flight. Smooth, without any hiccups. The performance is incredible, even better than some default aircraft. Nothing to complain about at the moment. Regarding someone's comments

Now I hear the 300ER is not yet available for 2024...?

You call yourself a PMDG Enthusiast and don't follow RR's announcements? He announced the release schedule on their forums, it was repeated on this forum as well, at least twice. 😉

The 300ER will come in about 3 Weeks.

I bought the 777. They did a wonderful job. The reverse thrust is ineffective though. It does nothing to slow the plane.

That's $121 AUD to me disgraceful price.

It's not disgraceful it's PMDG at their usual price range.

Reverse thrust on an aircraft like this is not used to slow down planes. It is used to relieve the brakes a bit. You will only notice a difference in landing distance on wet runways.

They had to milk all the impulse buying of those wanting a 777 in 2024 before releasing the -300ER and the 777F into 2024 because many already have those in 2020 that come with dual licenses. This was 100% a money grab by them at the expense of desperate flightsim enthusiasts who can’t wait any longer for the 300 & F to come to 2024 no matter what RSR opines.

I just tried reverse thrust, The plane goes in reverse just like the other PMDG 777 models.

Anyone know the 777-200F MSFS 2024 pricing, assuming you have the just released 777-200ER?

Are you assuming that you will get a discount for the MSFS 2024 version of the 777F if you own the MSFS 2024 version of the 200ER?

That's what I have been saying all along, which was rebutted with the usual "No one forces you to buy".

The number of impulse control impaired simmers that ran into the download problems they and their lack of impulse themselves created in the first place, proves me right.

I will not buy another variant at full price. 3 Engine models or no 3 engine models. Because I do have some inkling of impulse control and because $77 makes it very easy to control myself. 😉

Of course because phyiscs. If you use reverse thrust standing still you produce between 25% to 50% of forward thrust. Which will make you reverse. But at VApp that effect is negligble in comparism to what the brakes are doing.

Ahhh, first world problems, eh?

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Well I've tried 4 flights and 3 of them have resulted in CTDs. The only successful one was 1 hr 38 minutes long. Last flight was just 3 minutes 15 seconds before the CTD. No clues in the Event Viewer other than just the simulator .exe failed.

Looks like this is heading into the hangar behind the A350. Another expensive mistake on my part.

May all your landings be safe ones!
